Can we just appreciate the powerhouse that is Machiya? Not only does he provide the amazing backing vocals, the powerful yet always tasteful guitar parts but also the arrangement, the overall sound engineering, and of course he wrote the song. If that wasn't enough, he works with a vocal goddess and one of the finest groups of musicians ever gathered on stage.

Hi,that's just my opinion but they sounds better live !? I've got some cd's of them ,they're good but sounds "synthetic "vs live version ,live it's awsome !,i've goosebumps on a song like that one ,(sorry about my English,i'm not a native )so Many have just check only senbozakura and Homura too bad , there's so much to discover with them ,jazzy,funny,one , 1,2 fan-club ,roki instrumentals etc i discovered them with Homura ," the Mask " i thought it was a metal band ! I like them,energetic,good mood etc ,they're pro 👍🪕.

It's actually a pretty dark song, lyrics-wise. Some of the lines speak about screams resounding throughout the world, birds and trees going up in flames amidst thunder and raging waves, and there's also a lot of biblical references. There's a hopeful note too, though, about walking forward toward a new world. As for the kind of eclipse... the line before the chorus (the one sung by Machiya with cool effects) means "The Sun was darkened", but other lines talk about stars and phases of the moon, and the aesthetic they're going for in the live is more lunar eclipse-like (it's even clearer in the 2022 live), so... I'd say it's probably both? :3 Really cool song. Personally I think their darker/sadder songs are some of the most beautiful (though honestly everything they do is beautiful haha)

Though he's highly skilled, Machiya doesn't wow you like some other super shredders. But his playing is so musical and tasteful. Love his playing style.

Great reaction to one of the most creative bands I've ever heard. With some of their lighter numbers it's easy to overlook just how talented they all are both as musicians and performers. Now I'm no expert when it comes to music, I don't play, I only base things on how they sound to me but I will say that that I think Machiya must be one of the best guitarists that I've listened to, and I have seen some of the all time greats (one of the first gigs I went to was to see Led Zeppelin in 79), but his solos never jar with the song etc. I've been following them for a couple of years now and I am still in awe at the insane level of talent this band have.

I came back in regards to your reply to my Machiya comment and decided to enjoy the song again AND Noticed at 2:01 in your video that Daisuke was playing his flute by blowing through one of the finger holes instead of where it is normally played. Interesting effect.

Machiya uses a custom Sago guitar with a longer neck ergo more frets and is a 7-string guitar. He uses the capo to adjust the tone to the song he will be playing. Several of their vids show him moving the capo between songs. I know of at least three of those custom guitars he has used on stage and in videos.

I think this is the best song from the Tokyo Singing album. 👍 CC W channel has one with English subtitles The Daishinnenkai 2022 version is perhaps even better..
