Nice vid boss, is 2 the max incoming number of wires to the connection or is there a larger unit? Sometimes fittings have multiple wires to a single terminal. Loops etc.

Will these work when changing existing mr16 to gu10 fittings? if so is it quite simple?

how are these different or better than the lever Wago connectors you show in your other video?

can you use a wago connector for three cable loops?

Dang!! May just need to buy these, just in case I need to rewire a new light.

They make the job ten times easier. I remember years ago wiring a light fitting and had to hold it up high whilst tightening the terminal screws! Now you can just push one of these on and away you go. Thanks for the comments

Hi Once you have connected the wires in the wago connectors, Do the wires have to be placed in a wago junction box? Thanks

Normally the lighting connectors will be in the ceiling light cover (the part that covers the hole in the ceiling) but they can be used in an enclosure, such as a wagobox. Thanks for the comment

I am trying to find a video on how to blank off/disconnect a ceiling light and switch permanently, and what items to use to do it, could you help? I have two lights in my bedroom on two seperate switches and I only need one switch one light. I can’t find any videos online on how to do it (uk based) thanks!

Not sure this is still monitored! But if the current lighting arrangement has 3 neutrals - is there an equivalent wago connector that can be used? In the video it shows what to use when there is 2 neutrals - but what can I use where I have 3 neutrals - and 3 earth wires?

Jason Wauchope I normally use these - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbGYddKpzN-8l30.html

***** thanks, I had saw this video.. is there any difference in the clip connectors in this vid, and these 4 way wago connecters, or are they the same thing in principal? m.screwfix.com/p/4-way-push-wire-connector-773-series-pack-of-100/27374
@ultimatehandyman9 жыл бұрын
Jason Wauchope Yes, they are different. I don't think you can use the push wire connectors for stranded wire, but you can use the lever type connectors for solid or stranded wire.

I need to connect two cables together, both contains two wires black/red, can i use this?
@ultimatehandyman5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the amperage of the circuit. These are only really designed for lighting circuits, a better connector is the Wago 222 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbGYddKpzN-8l30.html But which ever one you use it will have to be in a suitable enclosure, such as a Wagobox- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jdqVhrh7st65iac.html

Hi, Here in United States we predominantly use wire nuts, I'm sure you've heard of them, are they used there in the UK? If not please tell me why.
@ultimatehandyman8 жыл бұрын
+Coffieman5150 Thanks, I have seen wire nuts but I have heard reports of them not making good connections and therefore causing fires. I do not know how true this is, or if there is any proof of this happening! They are available in some places over here and are often sold under the Idea "twister" brand. There could be various reasons why they are not used over here much. We use 230v and most of the cable we use is a single copper conductor, I'm guessing that these types of nuts will work better on stranded cable? Thanks for the comment, it's always interesting to see how they do things in other countries ;-)

we use wire nuts in the north Sea, oil industry, mechanical joints, or ratings

Wago is way better than wire nuts

Are these better to use than The wago 222 with cables housed in a wago box? This one looks like you can just push it up into light fitting gap without housing it
@ultimatehandyman3 жыл бұрын
These are designed for use when fitting light fittings, they work great and are so easy to use. As long as they are contained within the light fitting (that is classed as an enclosure) 👍

@@ultimatehandyman the wago box can be large and pain to put up in ceiling especially when it's on a corner of the slopped roof. If these can be used and pushed up then great.

Wago from Minden/Westphalia, the place where the British-Prussian alliance had beaten the French and Saxonias at the Battle of Minden (1st of August 1759) which was decisive in the Seven Years War for the British dominance over North-America and India. Still comemorated every year in Preston on Sea and in every british regiment in the world as >Minden-Day

if you have a pass or switch wire, does that go in the same connector
@tammas20007 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "the same connector"? It can be connected in that type of connector, yes. But obviously not in the same one as other wires!

I don't understand wtf is this, these connectors ARE NOT FOR MONOLITH cable they are for LED lamps which are usually have non-monolith cables

These can be used for mains voltage lighting in the UK 👍
