A running session featuring the Wainwright SE&CR D Class made by Locomotion, Rails Of Sheffield and Dapol.
The long awaited 00 Gauge model of the SE&CR D Class has finally arrived and it is absolutely gorgeous! I'm working on a review video of this loco but there's so much to cover that it's taking me a bit longer than usual so here's a running session of the D Class on my modular model railway to keep you going.

Wow, that is a gem, Model Railway Guy. Not exactly giving them away, are they! There isn't a class D just yet for TS, but we do have a class H, in seven different liveries from SE&CR to BR for, brace yourself, £10!! One distinct advantage of the sim. Birdcage stock is just lovely, too. Best.

Mine had bit fall off it in box And ran very very bad and got warm too

What a beautiful model! I have the N gauge Wainright C class in SE&CR's green lined livery - the most favourite of my locos. Great backing music, too.

Any one else agree that the real 737 should be restored to working order and loned to bluebell railway as she would fit in well with the other s,c,a,c,r loco

Your run well Mine had bit fall of it in box Also mine ran very very terrible. Keep stalling on points and even on straight bits of track. And got warm after running But does look stunning Keep safe arp

I would like a Dapol Wainwright D Class but if It was priced for a reasonable price then I would consider getting one in the S.E.C.R Livery

@@ThatModelRailwayGuy very interesting to hear that also I would like to see the Sentinel double heading with the Ruston pulling two teak coaches and your Full rake of 4 mk1 coaches with a teak brake coach at one end and the mk1 brake coach at the other also I apologise for the unsubscribing and then resubscribe I must of accidentally touched the subscription button my phone is a Samsung s10+ and it doesn't charge well and it freezes and is a bit sensitive to touch and when it is due for an upgrade I'll be replacing it with an iPhone 11 as I am more of an iPhone person than a Samsung person

For what you et I don’t think it’s expensive. It is the most exquisite, high detail loco I have now. And a fabulous runner with ultra smooth take-off at 1mph

At 1:35 I noticed the front wheels on the tender not turning very well, may need a drop or oil/grease. Other than that a great video.

Yeah I’ve noticed that a few times too. Not sure if it’s oil/grease or just not enough weight over the axle. It is quite light so I might try adding a bit of extra weight. Thanks for watching 😃

Another fun running session with a good looking train. I probably won't be buying it, loco or stock due to the fact the whole 3 coach train costs upwards of 500 quid, but it looks fantastic it has to be said.

Lovely-looking model! Sadly, I won't be getting one, mainly because of the price (at £199.99, a model really needs to be perfect before I'll consider getting it)... but at least I have this running session to enjoy :) .

It does look great! But I can see where you're coming from with the price. For me I've always loved the SE&CR and I never thought anyone would ever do a D Class so I couldn't miss the opportunity. In comparison, the upcoming LNWR Precedent looks lovely but I can't personally justify the price in that case. Needless to say though that the D Class will be making plenty of appearances on the layout so I'm sure you'll see a lot of it in the future! Thanks for watching 😃

I have to agree with you there Gerard! I’m definitely interested in the Oxford J27. I’ve heard it potentially has some inaccuracies but it’s a very good price and I’m a sucker for an 0-6-0 tender engine in black! 😂 Thanks for watching 👍

I think it does, just about. More so than the price Bachmann are asking for their C Class now! I’m interested to see how the new releases from Hornby and Bachmann that are at a similar price stack up in comparison. Thanks for watching 😃
