When I get caught in standstill traffic on the interstate or sitting at a red light, I look over and see waist-high grass in the median or on a vacant lot, and I feel the need to fantasy-cut it. Guy behind me honks his horn a couple minutes later cuz traffic is moving, and I hadn't got to the edging yet. Your videos are just the treatment I need for my Mowing Compulsive Disorder (Mow-C-D). Great work and philosophizing at the same time! Speaking of brush hogs, I know an old fellow has a farm, and he picks up discarded but working rotary push mowers for free or next to nothing. He torches the first few inches of the mower deck off so that the blade arc is exposed: instant brush hog. It will cut down all kinds of brush and grass and saplings. It may not be a Gravely, but it's basically free and widely available.

I was taking care of a client in Queens New York; and her back yard had so much high grass, and her daughter got a gardener to cut all that grass. I used to do contract outdoor mowing with a council approved contractor here in the uk.. doing mainly parks, footpaths and road verges etc.. i used to use a 51cc Stiga SBC 656 DX Bike Handle Petrol Brushcutter with a chest harness.(you had too really with the size of that thing) and that thing moved pretty much everything from grass to thorn to small saplings with the blades attached.. we'd have a scag (0 turn) go through usually first with us strimmer gang either side mopping up.. appreciate the work you guys do and know its not easy! especially when you end up with fine grass and thistle material going through your jeans and embedding into your shins lol... thumbs up from the uk guys

When i worked with my brother in law, I had so many run ins with snakes, copperheads, cotton mouths, etc. Anyway, dude, you have the best videos, and I love watching them. Thanks for the footage. I needed something for tall grass and briers on a property and found what stihl call a high grass blade that fit my fs70. I liked it because it only had 4 cutting edges that were easily touched up with a flat file. Did a real good job,especially in the grass. It also cut alot of briers and small saplings without much effort too.

Best advice I ever heard on handling negativity is to only take the criticism of those that have your best interest in mind and discard all the rest. That's been useful for me because sometimes someone close will tell me I'm being a dummy and they're absolutely right, this gives me the chance to un-dummy myself before broader society catches on.

Oh just an fyi to help you in the future when cutting high grass with a weedeater it helps to cut the top parts of the grass and work your way down and around by doing this you get rid of the grass so as not to leave a bunch of talks stalks you have to recut with a weedeater or a lawn mower or even to rake up, it saves time and allows you to get more done and you cant even tell it was even tall or cut down with a weedeater, im kinda a pro when it comes to weedwhacking it dont matter if its my yard or someone elses yard i give it the same quality and care i do as if it were my own lawn, some people don't do the same kind of quality or care for other peoples yards as they do for their own, unless they get paid alot for it.

Hey bud I just wanted to say I recently found your channel and have been binge watching for the last few days... You know I used to love cutting my lawn taking care of my property then I had a really bad car accident broken dislocated my hip so now I have arthritis and a bad hip and it kills me watching somebody else cut my property but man I love watching your videos and hopefully after a surgery I can get back to cutting my own I'm jealous to be honest I just really want to get out and do my own yard work but man it's fun watching you do all the lawns and overgrowns that you do it's just giving me the drive to get things done a little sooner so I can get back out there... Thanks for the great videos look forward to plenty of them in the future
