Stock is lowest on the 4070 Ti Super, even if stock were better it would still be sold out. Having a sold out product stay sold out is pure nonsense. But let's say your theory was true. How does that help Nvidia? They're getting ripped off then, lol.

I’m not interested in a 1000 card. I don’t care if 1000$ card sells out or not. If someone has a card that does what he needs why the heck he should be worried and rush to pay 1000$ because a 1000$ card it’s almost sold? Who cares?

I bought the MSI 4080 Super Expert and I am very happy with it. I have been waiting a long time to upgrade from my MSI Trident X rtx 2080. I have been slowly buying parts for a little over a year and finally just pulled the trigger. I waited on got the best deals I could on all my other parts by buying when they were on sale, the money I saved went to the GPU. This build was the first since the 1990s and it all worked out really well. MSI Z790=A Wifi board with I9-13900K cpu.

Congrats, I was really looking at that card to replace my 1080ti ftw. But it was sold out everywhere unless you wanted to pay over 1300. Glad you at least got one, I think its by far the best looking of the cards

Great question, my intention was to build the best I could over time with the resources I had. I will never purchase parts over time again, a better option would have been to wait until I had the money I was willing to spend then just buy everything. I just turned 65 I only play sim games and some survival games with my sons. I watched a lot of KZfaq videos and had purchased the motherboard first. A better decision would have been to make the cpu decision before just buying the board so lack of experience. That being said I am still happy with the performance and no issues with the system. Now with the 5090 release possible later this year I might be thinking why didn't I just wait for that. BTW I wanted an RTX 4090 but not willing to pay crazy prices atm. This was my first build since the mid 1990's I am happy I was able to pull it off. I now have the resources to build whatever I want so I might sell this depending on the outcome of the 50 series GPU's, I really wanted to give AMD a chance but was worried about messing with software issues. @@orion9k

Zotac is good , one of the best cards ever was my 1070 zotac AMP edition. i'd get a zotac card again . PNY though ....nah i've had a few pny cards die on me in the past after a year or two.

@@pituguli5816 well they AMP lines have alwasy been good , but yeah i've heard they cut corners on the trinity models. my 1070 AMP extreme is one of the best video cards i ever owned , and it's still running strong. never had it go over 72 degrees while under load.

Honestly it's really the scalpers buying up all the cards. Anyone paying over MSRP for the 4080S is a mad man or should be using it for productivity. 7900XTX is still an extremely amazing alternative for 4K gaming. I refuse to believe Nvidia is choking out supply at this point, they are just losing money.

ALL launches in January are small. They just got the production line set up and BAM Chinese New Year. Don't read much of it having low stock until April (Chinese new year till end of Feb, 1 month manufacturing, 1 month shipping) and they will be in stock no problems.

My Microcenter kept stock pretty low on the 4080S. The better cards sold out pretty quick while a couple of the the Zotac and PNY models still were there. Ended up returning the 4080S a couple days later for the 4090. Spent 1300 on the 4080S+ Microcenter 3 year warranty, spent an extra 400 bucks to upgrade to the 4090. Haven’t seen NIB 4090s for 1700 in awhile couldnt pull the trigger at $2000+ for one during the China ban. Funny thing is I wasn’t the only one doing it. Met 6-7 more people there returning they’re 4080 Supers for the 4090 that day. All said the same thing… they’ve been holding out for reasonable 4090 prices but they needed cards so they got the next best thing at the time. A couple of the others were returning theirs for AMD cards. Seems like mixed feelings on this release. I didn’t hate my 4080 super when I had it, thing was a beast for 1440p…. I just love the 4090 for just a couple hundred more in this scenario

I tend to agree with Chris from the Good Old Gamer. There are only really 2 maybe 3 markets for GPUs. The Low Budget sector ($100 - $350), The Mid Range ($350 - $650) and the Flagship Buyers. The $700 to $1200 price point is no mans land. Unless you get something like a 7900XTX for $750 Then good but, Outside of that, Most ppl in the $1000 price range will just spend extra money and Just buy the Best GPU on the Market.

Not true at all. In my region a 4080 super can be had for MSRP, while 4090s are at least 20% over MSRP. So while I can stomach $1000 for top level performance allowing me to play everything at 4K with RT/PT, I can't stomach 1.8k or more. At these prices the 4080 is better value than the 4090 too per frame. I bought one as soon as the price cut happened and I saw they were available at MSRP. I also upgraded to x670e, 7800x3D and ddr5 and a new case with fans and radiator for around the cost of a 4090. I have more than most to spend on a gaming pc but it's not unlimited.

I wish I didn't have to pay 1000 for an 80 class card but gpus are more expensive than ever to produce and the 4000 series isn't as overpriced as people say they are. It's still overpriced though. Amazing tech. Wish amd would get their heads out their poopers

Not quite a paper launch I got one and newegg had msrp models in stock for over 12 hours. Chinese new year is the reason the stock sucks. By may it 999 4080 supers will be in stock and won't sell out

Plenty on the market today. Lowest is $950.00 As the RTX rolls out, looking for this one to slide to low $800's, then I'll be interested unless the 384 bit bus of the RTX5080 is a game changer. Then I will buy the 5080. But if performance is as from 4080 t0 4080 Super why pay more? The 7900xtx looks interesting, but loses appeal as I look at 4k, even in 1440 the RTX is better by just a bit.

I kept saying that the 4080 Supers would sell out on day one, and that by day two they would be going up in price close to the original MSRP of the non-Super. The 4080 is the most powerful Nvidia card next to the 4090, which has an astronomical price now. I love how many people said that I was wrong, and that they wouldn't sell out, and that even if they did within the first day, stock would return by the next week. Oh look... Also, those that returned their original 4080s for the "Super Discount" version must be feeling pretty duped about now, since the cards really aren't more powerful. It's just luck of the bin since an average or below average "Super" could perform worse than a non-Super, or identically.

People do buy 4080 super, me included. I was waiting for regular 4080 to drop its price before upgrade from my old 2070, but it never happened. So I wait and save my money until suddenly NVIDIA announced cheaper and better 4080 Super. That's when I decided to pull the trigger. Today, it's empty everywhere and even if there's one, it's much more expensive.

I mean IDK what people are complaining about NVIDIA for since AMD isn’t doing much better the 7900 XTX is the 4080 competitor and it’s also a 1K. They’re literally the same price and then the 2K 4090 if you need it which many wont, so it’s either pay double or don’t get ray tracing for 4K but those are the only real options for 4K gaming IMO.

@@aeromotive2 The 1080Ti was $699. It had 11GB VRAM (when 8GB was the norm!), 352-bit memory bus, GP102 (102 chip, not 103 like the 4080 and 4080 "SUPER"). Lower is better. That's how they number them. Now the "4080 SUPER" has the specs of what the 70-class card should have had *LAST GENERATION* (namely, 16 GB and 256-bit). For more money. $1200 was absurd, clearly an "anchor" price point for the 4090, like how movie theaters have "medium" popcorn that's only there to make the "large" more attractive. Now it's still too much. Because an 80-class card shouldn't cost a _cool thou,_ wtf? *_Nvidia, the way you're meant to be played._*

@@zdspider6778 The 4080 Ti will have the AD102 Chip and 20GB VRAM. I know this is hard for you to accept but we are not in CPU land. CPU's give 7-10% gains Gen over Gen. GPU's give 70-100% gains. The 3090 has a 24GB Buffer... and it gets its ass kicked by the 12GB 4070 Ti and needs 100 less watts to do it. (And this is at 4K native watch any benchmark on this) Also don't compare a GDDR5 bus to GDDR6X.

@@Dexion845 There hasn't been any indication of a "4080 Ti". 🤨 And the "SUPER" is supposed to be better than a "Ti". The "4080 SUPER" sometimes even *LOSES* to the "regular" 4080 because it has a shittier power delivery making it around 5W weaker. You pulled 70-100% gains out of your behind. The 4060Ti is basically a 3060Ti. Within 8-11% difference, something like that, lol. Probably the worst offender of the 4000 series. Stop sucking Leather Jacket Guy's tail pipe.

no power and fps limit on my Inno3D 4090. in the first 4-5 months I've been using it with the 3x8pin adapter, after that I've switched PSU to an FSP 1200W with dedicated 12V connector. the card is 15 months old and have 0 issues with it. BIOS is locked at 450W.

I think the 4080 Super is the best option for gamers since its only a few % inferior to the 4090 at half the price. Not to mention the 5000 series should be coming out soon so no point buying a 4090 this late of the game.

The "4060Ti" should have been called the *4050,* which should have went for $119-149 (like its predecessor). The "4060" should have been called the *4040* but because _404 doesn't exist,_ it would have been a meme card, so Nvidia should have called it 4030Ti and should've been $79. At $300 and $400 ($500 for extra 8GB), Nvidia can eat donkey poo.

I ben waiting for this gpu. I didn't like my 7900xtx, so i side stepped to this. I kept my expectations low and assumed it was a 4080 with a different name. But i lost little to nothing, so meh. Nothing amazing, but the major upgrade to RT performance is nice. Managed to get the Aorus pretty easily as on the 31st at 9am it seemed they didn't sell to rapidly as all models was in stock so i assumed no one wanted it lol. Did next day shipping and didn't have to think about it.

Well the thing is, the 4080 cant handle RT in 4k native despite having a premium price. So essentially its a 1440p card for a 4k card price since upscaling mandatory. But the real issue is that 4k is already knocking on that 16GB VRAM door. Some people say additional texture packs in games already exceeded it. VRAM is actually very cheap, but even in the 2nd highest price class Nvidia decided to cheap out on it and determined your next purchase. Paying such a price its safe to assume people want to keep it more than 2-3 years, but by then the 4080 will be in trouble for 4k gaming. Even if both GPUs were at the same price, I would still feel so bad choosing the 4080 over the 7900XTX. But if u upgrade premium GPUs every 2 years, than there is problem at all. Happy gamin!

@@Greenalex89 This is a myth. 16GB is fine for 4k, only unoptimized lazy dev's ever get close to that. That is the current console max, so no dev team that has anyone smart on it would optimize past that. We have already seen this theory debunked. The 3090 has 24GB of VRAM and currently loses to the 4070 Ti (non-super) at 4K on just about any game you throw at them. I'll say it until your eyes bleed. Your core will become obsolete much much much quicker than your VRAM can become a bottleneck to your performance. This proves itself every generation. The 7600XT has 16GB of VRAM, but who cares because its a slow card! Also nobody wants to play 4K native people like high framerates with their $999+ GPU's

@@pituguli5816 No not exactly. The RT on the 4080 super is a bonus but not why I chose it. Quite honestly, I bought into the overhype when it launched, they said it was up to 70% faster than the 6900xt, but I guess they was talking about RT performance and if so in this case dont care about. The xtx really aggravated me using it for video encoding and my particular modal (silicon) didn't undervolt or OC well. On top of that just watching Videos it sucked down 60watts just with video playbacks like KZfaq. It's quite inefficient and I like efficiency over most because of noise and heat in the room it's in and the xtx chugs power 430w with this particular modal the 4080 super in same test pulled 280w. Only thing I liked about the xtx was the modal wish I could carry it over to the 4080s. Sapphire Nitro+.

I've ended up buying one - an MSI Suprim X version , albeit earlier than I would have intended because my 2080ti died (not enough thermal paste slowly burned the die) . In the UK there were not very many cards in stock - and I do think of the three Super cards this might have had the most pent-up demand , given the 4090 drifted to £1.8k recently.

I upgraded to a 3070Ti at the very tail end of the 30-series being the "current" GPU.... and you know what? Im completely happy and have had exactly zero urge to upgrade to any 40-series card. I might even skip 50-series... who knows, my 3070Ti still does everything i throw at it amazingly well... i've no interest in upgrading till that's no longer the case.

Those are actually scalpers. When they figure out that people aren't interested, they'll be back on the shelves within 30 days (ret policy). The 1080Ti was $699, which was arguably the best GPU Nvidia ever made. A cool _thou_ for something that has the specs of a 70-class (what the 70-class should have had), kind of sad.

@@Hito343 XTX is overpriced, getting a 7900XT at 699US is ok. It should have been its price day 1 but heh, AMD went the nvidia route with 7000 series unfortunately. They could have taken the market by storm with a more aggressive price scheme and better naming (i.e. 7900XT --> 7800XT @750 launch price then 699 later on, 7800XT --> 7700XT for 449). I dont expect RDNA 4 to be groundbreaking in any way nor 5000 series for that matter, so why wait?

@@pituguli5816 If the XTX is over $200 cheaper than the 4080 Super, then it's a no brainer to get the XTX. XTX has better raster performance, more VRAM, and a larger bus width. The 4080 Super has better upscaling features like DLSS and much better RT performance, but they are definitely not worth paying over a $200 price premium over the XTX. RT is great and is the future of gaming, but current gen GPUs don't have enough processing power to unlock the full potential of RT graphics and enjoy all the benefits of it properly. You are saying the XTX is $450 cheaper in your country, so it should take you a second to decide what's the better choice.

Its obvious the stock was much lower for msrp cards. There is nothing exciting about this card. In Australia the 4080 has been cheaper than what the super is for over a year. In fact 3 days before the super released the 4080 was $1,499. Which is also the same price as the 4070ti super which basically makes it $800 USD (which is what it should have been) and the 4080 super is $1,869. So the 4080 was $370 cheaper lol. You can still easily find 4080's for $1,599-1,699. The super might seem OK in some countries but I'd bet other countries see similar to here and makes no sense. Not paying over $370 more for 3% lol

$800 USD for a 4080? That is actually a really great price. Im in the EU, the standard 4080 is €1350 inc tax ($1455 USD) for one of the better known AIB brands such as Asus TUF or Gigabyte. The supers variants for these same manufacturers launched at €1270 inc tax ($1370 USD). This is the price of something like a Zotac or PNY standard 4080. As with every territory the Supers all sold out straight away as it was a paper launch. I expect when they return the price will be increased to match the standard 4080.

so, when you say sold out, you mean that about 5 cards of each were given to retailers and most of those whit low prices were bought? because if there were 1000 pieces of each and those were sold out, it would be something, but I called the 2 biggest retailers in dk and they had 32 gpus and 41 of all 4080 super lineup for the whole country. so... yeah. the cheap ones got bought and you can find 4080 super at 9500 kr(about 1300 eur) that noone buys. but the cheap ones are out of stock :) nvidia as per usual.

yeah um just because the 4070 cards are the most popular 40 series cards doesnt mean their great. fact is that the 4060 cards are absolute trash and are making me and im sure alot of other people just skip the 40 series altogether. had the 4060 been idk better than a 3070 rather than being weaker than a 3060ti it might have sold alot better than it did.

1K graphics cards are not new lol the Titan and 3090 were also at this price and they sold just the same, the 4080 Super is the second most powerful card on the whole market give or take with 7900 XTX the 1K price is about right for it IMO.

Bro looks at a GPU and thinks it sells well because it says "out of stock". Well, my friend. The RTX 3090 is also "out of stock". Does that card sell well? Is it worth now 2500$? :))) The answer is NO. It's just low volume. Here, in Romania it's IN STOCK at every retailer. Nobody's buying it :))) They're going for the 4070TiSuper or the 4090 because that card can game in 4K and is less expensive. Or the 7900XTX, which costs the same as the 4070TiSuper. US/UK/Germany just got less stock than they usually do to up the hype a bit. Jensen ain't a fool bro :)
