I was adopted and never belonged with my adoptive "parents". Never fit in with them at all. I was blessed to find my first mother ,my younger brothers and sisters and even my father when I was almost 31 years old. I also found out why I didn't fit in with adoptive family,they were Irish and I , first nations! My father didn't know anything about me till the day we met because you see,my mother was told that I was stillborn. I was a six month gestation baby and not expected to live 24 hours. I had over thirty wonderful years with my Mother untill she passed a few years ago, and still keep in touch with my siblings. I am blessed!

I wasn't sure about this film during the first 30 minutes or so. Then it hooked me. I never got to know my grandparents and my parents didn't want me. A week before my mother died she called me and said she finally understood. Kind of like me staying to understand this film.

Synchronicities. My mother's name is Dixie Briggs. Almost the same. I was taken from her in 1970 because she couldn't take care of me. She was so very poor. She tried to get me back for several years while i was in several abusive foster homes. Later, when i was 24 years old i found her, still very poor but we have a relationship somewhat. I never knew my father. Life has broken me. This movie hits a tender place in me. Thank you to all the actors. 💜

Life broke me also but maybe in a different way. I think we All are broken in some way or another. The good thing about "brokenness" is that it lead to me to God who is the creator and he helped me find the pieces and put them all together. Apart from God, life makes no sense and this is why we find ourselves in brokenness to begin with. God has a wonderful plan and blueprint for each of our lives-If we would only Trust him and Thur a relationship, walk with him🙏💙

I'm in the process of being deprogrammed and healed from those limited beliefs about myself and others. I'm doing much better for it. My hope is that many others in this belief trap heal from it too and become deprogrammed from such an awful belief system that many have been deceived into believing.
