Wanting to get more clients at his cafe, Greg came up with a “genius” idea. He made the waitresses wear extra revealing uniforms. The girls refused first. But when Greg threatened to fire them, they went along with his vile marketing move.
Amanda, on the other hand, wasn’t about to accept this. She had something else in mind.

That is not only unprofessional, but if this were reality and not just a skit, many customers wouldn't even want to eat there because of how uncomfortable they'd be. The fact that all the men in the comment section are trying to justify the objectification of women while all the women are complimenting it on how it points to the issues in society when it comes to sexualizing women is not only sad, but ridiculous. It is clearly an expensive restaurant or at least one where the dress code would be completely out of place as the swimsuits don't even match the theme. 🙄

This was so wrong and stupid on so many level. Manager was right from the beginning. If waitresses doesn't want to dress in a way the management damands them to, they can leave and do whatever they want. That's the free world we're living in. And the selling for 1 dollar part? Even if he did that knowingly, he can still sue them and revoke the selling easily. Because a restaurant can never be sold at that price.

0:20 - you should always say if you don't want to agree to company requirements, you are free to quit. Never say I'll fire you - this puts the oness on them. lol. Why would it be "humiliating" to wear a swimsuit, especially one as covered up as that? I'd argue dressing to look like Mary Poppins is more humiliating. Serious self-esteem issues for those waitresses. Also I'd argue the fake investor (FI) was creepier/worse than the owner. The FI made one of the girls wear a swimsuit despite protests, looked down her swimsuit, and presumably was in the same room while she changed her clothes... but he's a hero and the owner isn't?

I'd love to see to see a part two that takes place a few years down the line; the former manager is now homeless and the team at the restaurant eventually take pity on him and hire him... but he has to start from the ground up as a janitor or busboy and hopefully as he grows in experience, he grows in humanity and humility.

some bars or restaurants do ask the girls to be sexy but if they not want they can just not work there

Except in places like Hooters, where the waitresses have to conform to the business policies in order to work there. Just about every nude bar, and top less bars require the girls to wear either lingerie, or swimsuits, or other sexy underwear related outfit like thongs, G strings or whatever else.

This kind of thing does still go on to this day. I may be an old guy if 60, but the girls portrayed in this video should open the eyes of those who are harassed. No person, male or female, deserves to be embarrassed and humiliated like this. Good, hard working women are why businesses thrive. They're smart, reliable and very hard workers. As i watched how the girls were being treated, i was getting ticked off. I had a great mother who always taught us to respect women. To me, women are the heart and soul of the world. Men need to understand that we are all equal. All races, all colors and all genders. This was what my mom taught this little kid. I grew up taking care of her during her alzhemiers. She passed in my arms as my sister and I tried to get her to the hospital. She was a wonderful mom, mother to all 3 of us, and a good wife to my late dad. The workd needs more like her. And they are out there. Good, honest women. Thank you for being true to who you are. Sorry if this ran long or got preachy, but I just believe in respect to all.

I like the swimsuits with the red bows added. It's cute. The older uniforms look great too. Greg has great taste in picking out uniforms. I'll stipulate he should give the waitresses a long enough period to find another job if they don't want to wear the swimsuits before making that drastic of a uniform change. He has great taste picking out uniforms but lacks people skills. Nobody is perfect. The woman stealing the cafe for $1 is pretty outrageous. Any real man would have torn up the contract right in front of her and thrown her and her scrawny son out on their asses. He should have had a lawyer present to double check stuff like that. Nice story, with no court would force Greg to honor that contract. Now his staff could sue him for sexual harassment which would probably *_cost_* him the restaurant, but $1 for a restaurant would likely be considered unjust enrichment in the eyes of the court.

The staff could sue for sexual harassment, but they may not win the lawsuit. There are restaurants in the U.S., such as Hooters, that have their female waitstaff wear skimpy clothing. In addition, lifeguards generally wear swimsuits and some fashion models do as well. Of course, some actors, such as the ones in this video, sometimes wear swimsuits in the course of their job. In real life, if a restaurant wanted to change its theme in such as way that would require their employees to wear swimsuits when they were not wearing them before, it would probably be best to provide some notice. However, to the best of my knowledge, it is not illegal to require employees to wear swimsuits. Of course, employees who do not agree to this are free to resign.

I used to like other episodes, but not this one… What he did was legal (just google “at will employment” in the US). On the other hand, what they did was completely illegal (fraud), a US court will invalidate the deal, and those two will probably go to a jail. So what is the moral of this story?

Νice story, I liked the way it went; in the end, one always gets what he deserves! The only unrealistic thing was the one-dollar trick; even if signed by the owner, a contract like this cannot stand as the price is way too low for the subject of the agreement. They could have fooled him with a small amount, but not one dollar. Otherwise, a perfect story!

Great video that was an excellent twist one of the employees was brave enough to protect her dignity at all cost and the others were afraid and they made a test to see if the staff Would Protect her I'm glad they made the right choice and I'm glad that she wasn't in any actual Danger and he won't be bothering anyone anytime soon
