Since years I've heard many stories about those fog-sessions at beautiful Walchensee in Bavaria/Germany. This time I had the chance to try it myself and I was super lucky!
Winds between 10 and 25 knots and beautiful weather conditions. It really feels like surfing on another planet! Absolutely crazy, pretty cold with about 6 degrees celsius and sometimes quite dangerous. Within the fog, its not possible to go full speed. That would be some kind of a suicide commando! But as soon as it gets brighter, there is enough sight to accelerate and go fast!
I did a new record with 35,34knots of topseed! With this speed I am sitting now in 6th position in the overall World GPS-Speed Ranking again.
I used my 7.4 Neil Pryde EVOXII and the 70cm wide medium Neil Pryde F4 foil on the JP Hydroslalom 176.
Getting there with my old Porsche 911 carrera from 1984 made that day just perfect.

Super Video ! Bissle nah an manchen Windsurfern ? Immerhin hast Du ein scharfes Leitwerk drunter......Durch den Nebel fahren , erinnert mich an die Zeiten als wir Autos am Seeufer stehen hatten und im Scheinwerferlicht gesurft sind.Ist krass in die Dunkelheit zu fahren - krass in die Nebelwand zu heizen.Als Zuschauer denkst Du dauernd da liegt was vor Dir im Wasser !!! Hum, a foil on the roof of the car, I hope you took care about the low pass tunnel or bar at parking lot entrance. Apart from that, the video is excellent and I perceived (I think) a bit of your feeling on the board. Joel

WOW.... eine 2.Version,.. wo die GoProMAX clips ohne fisheye (tiny planet) sind ...wäre auch Super-toll.... einfach nur gerader Horizont... und dann 1:2,75 canvas ratio...wie im Kino halt... ware echt Fantastisch !!

@@AndyLaufer Fisheye.. absichtlich war es nicht, das ist schon klar. Aber die MAX macht halt automatisch dieses verkrümmen. Ich glaube es würde deine Clips absolut zu den besten auf KZfaq machen, wenn du "rectangular corrections" ,...und links und rechts mehr Fläche gibst, um deine super coole Location mehr sehen zu können.

Hey Andy Looks like you are more back foot pressured than front foot ? Are you using a big shim on your stab ? Great speed BTw. Still blocked at 29.5 … :/

thanks Erwin. On those windsurfing sequences I put it on 4k/60 superview with and without boost. on those Porsche szenes I put an 8 ND filter on and I used a 1/120 shutter speed.
