Just stayed there. I was upgraded to a junior suite, had a handwritten note and champagne waiting in my room. You really are Batman.

The bathtube is heaven, so relaxing. I love staying there, and the bar is amazing.

Was there 2017 when it was Mandarin Oriental. Such a great hotel. First of it is much more quiet, no stressful garbage music all over the place. Really nice pool area with soft relaxed lounge music in the background. "Twist" is good, but not the best one unfortunatly in Vegas. Some of the furnitures were warn down when i stayed at the hotel. I will be back.

That's a great summary, Edward - very accurate and concise. It's a hidden gem and it some ways I'm really glad it is. And yes, Twist was ok - I'm glad I went but I won't be back. If staying there definitely eat there though and try it.

The bottle of water is for the iron. It is distilled water and not good for drinking (no minerals).

Hey @S1... thanks for compliment and comment. And I can only imagine what a new, modern Shanghai Waldorf would be like. Palatial I'm sure! I was in Shanghai for the Olympics, but 'twas a young lad at the time. The "City By The Sea" and I will meet again, and I will definitely place the Waldorf on my to-do list!

Agreed. I especially liked the view. I was looking up Vegas hotels on Staypia but I think I might go with Waldorf Astoria.

Guy Savoy or Joel Robuchon serve some of the best French food in Vegas, but then I am a fan of 12 courses to 24 courses 3 hours + mega meals. I do love Le Cirque and Picasso though they don’t quite compare to the big two. I am staying at the Waldorf Astoria for the first time this weekend and I am excited to try it, I usually stay at the Four Seasons when I visit Las Vegas but it is all sold out this weekend.

Great insights! We share similar parallels when it comes to cuisines and culinary preferences. Definitely let me know what you think about the Waldorf property and Twist - I'd be interested in your reflections. Thus far, Joel Roubechon is the best meal I've had in Vegas collectively, French or any other cuisine. During that meal, I lost track of the course-count, but do remember 6 of their staff members at my table at one time. Talk about service! You are correct in that meal taking well over three hours. In fact, after that meal I was exhausted because I felt like I was working hard due to the crazy amount of action during that meal. Personally, I had high hopes for Le Cirque, but the meal was just 'good', however I do prefer it to Picasso.

@THE1CEO - I now know that! Thanks for the knowledge drop. I'm more of an enthusiast with experience than an expert ;), so I'm learning all the time. Plus "expert" sounds arrogant lol. I've rarely ventured outside the Marriott ecosystem over the last 5 years, and this was only my second Waldorf ever. I'll do more of both in the future - venture outside Marriott's walls and visit Waldorfs, especially the one in Vegas after the purported upcoming remodel. Thanks for the comment/info.

there are 131 5 diamond hotels in america, not 6 as you say. "This award is only given to luxury properties with first-class design, amenities, and hospitality services after they pass unannounced, in-person inspections of their quality, cleanliness, and condition. As of 2023, there are only 131 Five Diamond hotels on the list." i doubt your Michelin star restaurants too. you said you didn't see anyone in the hallways "complete exclusion" i Presume you mean "completely exclusive" which it isn't, you just didn't see anyone. why do Americans try and use words that just don't make sense, look up the word EXCLUSION. another thing, the pool is closed it's absolutely closed. if its closed.... its closd. there isnt any other way to describe it. absolutely closed, lol, ffs
