Powys [ˈpou̯ɪs] is a county and borders Gwynedd, Denbighshire, and Wrexham to the north.
Also the English ceremonial counties of Shropshire and Herefordshire to the east.
Powys is the largest and most sparsely populated county in Wales with population of some 133000 people.
