Here is a way to look at it....in the Philippines, people kind of view singing as a SPORT where songs are reimagined to be much more difficult to sing (key changes, riffs and runs, higher key, etc) and where anythjng less than "authentic" (lipsyncs, auto tune ) are frowned upon. You will even find videos where singers are even made to sing in difficult situations/positions (for the fun of it). I seem to remember that even the TNT BOYS was a product of these "challenges" or Morisette singing with a dental appliance in her mouth or being made to sing in a prone position. All for fun, but you get the idea.

Darren was originally on a Canadian kids singing show called the Next Star in 2012/13 where he killed it and even released a music video called “Gotta Give a Little Extra” after making it to the top 6. Most people know him tho from the Voice Kids Philippines and he came in second place. His voice is phenomenal and although it’s definitely changed with age it still gives me chills hope u react to more of him❤️

Majority of Filipinos learned to sing while sitting down because that's how we sing when singing on Karaoke... usually on parties, everybody is sitting in a circle passing the mic and singing one after the other, while sitting down on a chair. FYI, guys...We are afraid to sing on stage when learning how to sing... Stage Fright, so we just get the mic and sing where we are sitting...LOL
