You have to remember, Filipino singers are trained not just by Karaoke at a very young age, but they are trained by competition. Most of the successful singers in the Philippines have joined hundreds of singing competition starting at a young age thus allowing them to get to the level they are right now.

Mark Bautista did went to the Theater. He performed in the musical Here Lies Love at the Royal National Theatre in London where he plays the late President Ferdinand Marcos. The musical is based on the life of Imelda Marcos.

Mark and Christian are senior singer that used to have a contract with ABS-CBN which is the mother network of budakhel, they moved to GMA(another tv network) few years ago. And yeah Christan and Mark sounds like theater guys coz they are.

I believe this was a 'surprise' guesting of Budakhel in a GMA network show, which is the competing network of ABS-CBN where they are (were?) exclusive talents of. The other guys performing are regular talents of GMA, I believe. These two networks do not normally trade talents due to network war.

I can't believe that BUDAKHEL was able to sing with these four singers. I had watched both the Bautista singers for some years ago and the one with long hair(Garrett) I have watched him in person while visiting the Phil last year. The fourth guy, it's my first time watching him, but they are all so awesome. Wooohooo! !! I love Budakhel and they are back.. I hope to see more of their live performances.. The other two singers beside Christian and Mark Bautista are Garrett Bolden and Jeremiah Tiangco, and they're new and young singers from GMA Network, and both are from a singing talent competition in GMA Network where Christian Bautista is one of the judges. Garrett was in the top 5 of the first season of that singing talent competition, while Jeremiah was the grand winner or champion of the second season. The competition is now in beginning to broadcast/air its first episode of its third season this October 5th.

You know what Waleska, those people honed their singing talent in an early age, in the Phils. if you're a kid and your parents noticed that you are into singing and you got potentials the parent encourage them to practice usually with a kareoke machine then enters them on local amateurs singing contest, then into reality singing contest on tv that's how they learned to perform and got their skills. Those people you're reacting to are a product of hard singing competition battle during their younger years such as: Morrisette, KZ, Budakhel although individually, Katrina and many more. And those who trained for their craft by a music teacher or a vocal coach are those who really want to be a singer but doesn't possess the natural talent so they have to learn it

It is the karaoke magic!! Filipino singers start very young. They spend countless hours singing karaoke at home, being exposed to thousands of songs. That is why most Filipino singers have their 'signature' style and are very versatile. 😀

The surprise there was because Budakhel are (or were?) talents of a TV, news, media, and entertainment network called ABS-CBN, which is a great competitor or sometimes even referred to as a "rival network" of the other TV, news, media, and entertainment network called GMA Network. GMA Network is where the Sunday noontime musical and variety show that Budakhel were performing at is produced and broadcasted/aired (in that video that you both watched or reacted to) (That show/program is shortly known and called "AOS" and read as /Ah-Yos/ , and which is a play on the Filipino word "Ayos" meaning "being or feeling alright/fine/good", and is an acronym also for its full show or program name "All Out Sundays"). The other singers in the video are senior and new singers of GMA Network, but of various music labels and agencies, while Budakhel are (were?) singers from ABS-CBN. These two competing television networks have most of their artists in contract with them (I guess, at least two years per contract), and most of the time they do not trade their artists or allow their artists to cross to another networks' shows or programs in other TV channels, unless it's just for some guestings, appearances, interviews, or some news stuffs for some important news or for promotions of movies, and also unless if they are freelance artists/non-contract artists, or unless if their contract already expired and they will sign or if they already signed a contract with the other/ another TV network. So it's a surprise that Budkhel was there performing in that Sunday noontime musical and variety show/program produced and broadcasted/aired by GMA Network, because they (Budakhel) are (were?) known artists/singers from ABS-CBN (GMA Network's greatest competitor). Phew! That was tough to explain. Hehe. 😁 The Philippine television, media, entertainment, music, and show business industries are somehow like politics too. It's somehow like it's shocking for a known politician in or from one political party to attend an exclusive political event, program, activity, or meeting of another rival or opposing political party.

It's a surprise because it was the first time they performed in that program and network. ☺️

GMA is the opposing network of ABS-CBN (which Budakhel came from) and now they are on GMA (I don't know if they signed already) because Bugoy and Daryl are banned at ABS-CBN by certain issue. The four guys at left are GMA singers.

I think the reason how they can perform in any setting or environment is because of their great PASSION FOR SINGING. Mark Bautista, the one w/ a loud voice (where his microphone way below) is a musical theater artist and has appeared on several musicals, already performed on West End.

It’s a big fuss coz BuDaKhel was from ABS-CBN network but the franchise of the said network didn’t renewed. (It’s a big issue here in the Philippines between the government and the said network) And yea, that’s why it’s a big surprise when they appeared on GMA. :)

Christian Bautista also known in Asia esp. in Indonesia way back then he releases an album and even hold a concert.. he also starred in Musical Show and he is a lead star on that Show..and many many more.. his recent project is still on going at GMA7 show called THE CLASH he is a clash master (one of the judge).

Christian Bautista and Mark Bautista are solo senior singers among these bunch. Both of them were from ABS CBN but , the network that fired Daryl and Bugoy after making a not-so-good comment about the franchise of the network. Christian and Mark transfered to GMA way long before Budakhel. Budakhel fans are happy that the rival network absorbed them after they lost their jobs. Most of these guys came from TV singing competition except Michael, I think.

You'd be surprised. In the streets you'd come across groups of people just jamming. In the malls, you'd find random persons picking up the microphones at stores selling karaoke machines belting out songs as polished as Mariah Carey. And what is amazing is that they have never had even an hour of formal training. 6 year old kids sing out songs like Through the Fire in the middle of the streets like pros and they weren't trained. In the Philippines, most anyone sings or plays an instrument. Karaoke machines are found in the street corner store. The Philippines is a country of natural singers.

The format is , where a set number of finalists would live inside the Academy for four months and will be trained by guest teachers to be multimedia performers.. he won as frst runner up.. ang Daryll is trained from the voice philippines.

In my humble opinion, since most of Filipinos are really excellent in singing they naturally find ways in order to standout. We have this mentality that we do not want to be just a copy of somebody. Our legendary singers always say on TV or singing competition where they're the judges that it is important that they reflect their identity on the song. Be a unique brand.

Most Filipino singers get started in the industry through singing contests. It's a way out of poverty or a way to improve one's life and help one's family. Singing as a school or subject or part of a college degree is rare.

I think most people who do not sing are focused on the noun: the singer. Wheras the singers focus on the verb: the singing. And this is how you get people like BuDaKhel. They sing for the sake of singing. That's why even when they don't have album deals they cover songs.
