Farah Khan directed Om Shanti Om, she is a choreographer turned director and god she's amazing at both. Her two movies- MAIN HOON NA and OM SHANTI OM, with Main hoon na being her debut one as a director, both blockbusters, both starring SRK, are such cleverly written with all its references, giving ode to the old bollywood. I love how both the movies do not take itself seriously which does not even the slightest annoys the audience in fact makes it more entertaining for example men appearing out of nowhere playing violin in the background whenever Srk sees his love interest in Main hoon na, ofc it does not happen in real life but no one cares moreover it was intentionally added. Her movies are a perfect blend of drama, love, comedy etc. even the end credits are unique where everyone involved with the movie shows up, are introduced and its not some boring black screen with credits rolling on. I feel yes, YOU GUYS WILL GET OM SHANTI OM, its ok even if you won't get most of the references (I mean the first half is set up in the 70's and references are related to mainly era of that stars so) it is still very much a delight to watch, you guys are really depriving yourself missing on this one. Oh and yes, the songs are banger, of both the movies ofc.

Please do watch Rocky aur Rani.... It's a laugh riot but also tackles some really important issues. Both Ranveer and Alia have done a phenomenal job. Many of us in India rate it as KJ's best till date. It's a complete experience.

Rocky Aur Rani was one of the best Hindi films of 2023 for me. It was everything a Bollywood films means to me, as someone who has grown up watching them. You should definitely check it out, it has a great album too.

She could not have been 17 in kuch kuch hota hai because 1. that came out in '98 and they did not film that movie in '95 since ddlj came out in '95 2. Karan struggled to find someone for Tina's role and it was rejected by many actresses. He saw Rani's first movie 'Raja ki aayegi baraat' which released in october 1996 and then decided to approach her for the role So with all that in mind, the shooting started sometime in 1997 so she was 19

Even though ADHM has a great album, the story is too complicated. I personally didn’t like the movie at all. I would recommend Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani a thousand times more than ADHM. It actually got me back into watching Bollywood movies in the theater. And you guys are now ready for both Chennai Express and Om Shanti Om. I would also recommend the Netflix series "The Romantics" for y'all. It has like 6 episodes and will give a good insight into Bollywood. It’s a documentary on the biggest production company in India, Yash Raj films now belongs to Aditya Chopra aka Rani's husband. Aditya gave the ROMANTIC SRK and Ranveer Singh to the Bollywood.

Om shanti Om is a parody to Bollywood itself. It completely roasts the cheesiness of Bollywood in a damn cheesy way. You can watch it now, though you will not get many of the references but anyway it will take you years to know all of them. So you can go for it. Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna Swades(known as one of the best creation of AR Rehman) Dil se (The most different and romantic film of SRK carrier, it is both like and dislike among the audience for its poor choice of ending the move in my opinion)

Hey guys, I've got a little (NOT SO LITTLE) movie suggestion: Bahubali, the first and the second part. I know this is sorta put of the blue, considering all the Om Shanti Om requests. But I've noticed that you guys have primarily watched only bollywood movies till now, so this would be a good introduction to the south, if you're interested. Plus its a pan India film, which was a gamechanger in the industry when it released. But the reason I believe this movie can really lock you in, is because of its music! It has several attractive music numbers, and the BGMs alone are so very beautiful, it could pass off as the best music album, from the most culturally rich story from India. So do consider it!❤ P.S. if possible, I personally believe its best to watch it in the original language, telugu, since its melodical flow is even more enhanced by the language. Otherwise, Hindi is fine too!
