You ever think about how Frollo and Gaston are almost total opposites and yet at the same time have very similar motivations?

Similar to the point of them both wanting to get a girl and going to great, damaging lengths to do so, however Frollo is blinded by his lust for Esmeralda and justifies it through the belief that if he can get her, then he can "save her" from her "evil" ways and eternal damnation in Hell (despite the fact that many of his actions, and particularly the ones he committed to get her were far worse than the tricks and suggestive dancing she did), while Gaston wants Belle, not because he's obsessed with her (I mean, he kinda is, but not in the same way as Frollo) but because she's different from many of the girls he's meet before and he can't stand that she would say no to him, and he's shown to think more when it comes to the decisions he makes to get Belle, while Frollo cannot think straight and burns down Paris just in the hopes that he would find Esmeralda, and he thinks nothing of how difficult his actions will be to undo if he does get Esmeralda.

Frollo I love you 🖤💜❤️. So funny Frollo is like what’s taking so long while Gaston is showing off. When they get to the door Frollo I just waiting while Gaston is so slow and telling his host to hurry up. Great 👍🏻 video I love it 😻. Frollo is my favorite Disney villain.
