Although I feel bad for the aloe and the echeveria, it's good to know that THE Laura Eubanks is a mortal like the rest of us. Thanks for humbly admitting your mistakes. The changes in the "seasons" here (really we have only two: a hellish dry season and drenching, humid monsoon) decimated some of my plants. And I do take their deaths badly sometimes. Hi Laura I love your shows 😀 I'm in Queensland Australia just north of Brisbane. I was having a coffee and noticed that some of the succulents from up in the kitchen looked like Coral so I made colourful fish out of wood and set them in place. I thought I was the only one who thought of doing it but to my surprise others have already done it. My wife loved it.💗💗💗

I always learn really key info in your backyard. Shade, water, sunburn, pest control (causing death oops), heat, dormancy, cutting off roots and resetting succulents to control growth and size and color, while being aware of season, temperature, sunlight, and watering. A feast.

You me gave an idea to shade my succulents. I can sit there and just enjoy watching your beautiful garden. Love it ❤️💖💞

Have you ever seen where a gardener uses a sheet of remesh/rebar $12 at Lowe's just bend it over and let your jasmine climb away. Would make a cool tunnel. Maybe some hoya climbing on it.

I wish I could grow the beauties you do in southern CA but alas, my choices for outdoor plants is limited to sempervivum and sedum. If you know about others, I love to hear where I could get them. i did the same mistake with my bay leaf tree and wild rosebush. We put too much soap in the water and next thing i know the whole plants were fried. I had to empty the pots and wash the roots and repot them. I managed to save the Bay leaf tree but the rose died
