We moved to Harrogate from just outside London during lockdown - best decision we ever made, kids are happier and probably much healthier than they ever would of been, we have more of a work life balance and the countryside can't be beat, fantastic restaurants and lots to do for families. The only thing is, it is SO expensive, to the point where our house just outside London was nicer than what we were able to buy here with the proceeds...

Not the great town it was, but I’m happy “ at home” here😊.

Harrogate has gone down in my estimation over the past decade. Lots of shops closed a lot of congestion and anti social behaviour around McDonald's. The plan to electrify the railway has been abandoned. Very little ambition on the part of elected leaders. Could be worse there's always Leeds.
