A walk tour in Quito, Ecuador in part of the Iñaquito section between Parque la Carolina (Carolina Park) and Avenida 6 de Diciembre and from Calle Irlanda to Avenida Naciones Unidas. These are parts of the streets I walked: Calle Irlanda, Avenida República de El Salvador, Avenida Portugal, Calle Luxemburgo, Avenida de los Shyris, Avenida 6 de Diciembre, and Avenida Naciones Unidas. Filmed in September of 2023 at about 3:30 pm. The exact date I can't remember, but could be the 13th, or the 10th or in between or less or more; around those dates. #quito #quitoecuador #ecuador
Un recorrido en Quito, Ecuador en parte del sector de Iñaquito entre el Parque la Carolina y Avenida 6 de Diciembre, y entre Calle Irlanda y Avenida Naciones Unidas. Estas son parte de las calles que caminé: Calle Irlanda, Avenida República de El Salvador, Avenida Portugal, Calle Luxemburgo, Avenida de los Shyris, Avenida 6 de Diciembre, y Avenida Naciones Unidas. This is an extremely limited section of the city that looks like this, a tiny gentrified portion. It’s literally just 2 or 3 blocks. Most of the city itself looks antiquated, run down, and dirty not to mention the fact that crime is at an all time high at these exact spots and poorer neighborhoods, no place is safe, where kidnappings, violent robbings, and the extortion of businesses have become the norm since the pandemic. Trust me, I’m from quito and travel there every year just for family and run back home.

Shut up, Peruvian. Quito is one of the safest cities in Latin America. You say that this is a very remote part of the city that covers only 2 or 3 blocks, when in reality you have zones such as La Carolina, González Suárez, Carcelén, Iñaquito, Parque Bicentenario, Quito Tenis, in fact, the entire northern center of the city and Tumbaco and Cumbayá are also residential areas with high capital gains. Even in the Valle de los Chillos, on the outskirts of Quito, there are attractive areas such as La Armenia or on the eastern edge of Quito, pleasant and safe residential areas such as La Floresta or La Vicentina.
