A narrated walking video in NYC along the entirety of the High Line Elevated Park from 34th Street to Gansevoort Street during the Summer.
February 2019 Narrated Video of the High Line: • ⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC (Narr...
From Wikipedia:
"The High Line (also known as High Line Park) is a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail. It was created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan in New York City. Led by landscape architecture firm James Corner Field Operations, the abandoned railway has been redesigned as a "living system" that draws from multiple disciplines including landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology. Since opening in 2009, the High Line has become an icon in contemporary landscape architecture.
The park is built on the disused southern viaduct section of a New York Central Railroad line called the West Side Line. Originating in the Lower West Side of Manhattan, the park runs from Gansevoort Street - three blocks below 14th Street - in the Meatpacking District, through Chelsea, to the northern edge of the West Side Yard on 34th Street near the Javits Center. Formerly, the West Side Line went as far south as a railroad terminal at Spring Street, just north of Canal Street. However, most of the southern section was demolished in 1960, with another small portion being demolished in 1991."

I went to The High Line shortly after they opened, in like October of 2009 or so. It was a GLORIOUS Sunday evening. Cool, crisp weather, but BEST of all, not a lot of people. Fast forward to this past November, like Election Day or Veterans Day around 3pm. I "figured" that I could have a repeat, as most people 'should' be at work. WRONG!!! It was crazy crowded...………...on a Tuesday afternoon, in November. No Bueno. At this point, probably the only time to go and have minimal people, is in the rain.

When I went in March there weren’t too many people on the High Line. Weekdays are much better than holidays and weekends in terms of crowds.

AK - Interesting park. It would be unusual for it to continue all the way to the Battery, but you'd probably have to have more security and ways for EMTs to get to people who are having health issues. Great video. SoCal

Those red flowers you speak of at around 33 minutes in are Sumac by the way. The red ones are used as spices and tastes very lemony. They are everywhere here in Maine and you can make lemonade out of them.

The last time I walked the High Line was about 8-9 years ago when it ended at 30th St. and Hudson Yards was just a construction site. I think there may have been about 10 people on the entire length then. I plan to walk it again on my trip to the city next week. I also plan to incorporate many suggestions from your videos while I'm there! Thanks for the ideas! If I see a cool guy out walking with a gimbal I'll say Hi. :)

Great video. But I liked the High Line video you did over the past winter better. You know why? Because of fewer people. The same thing about the 5th Ave walk shortly before Christmas 2018. The situation/crowds just become too overwhelming. Too many people become less fun. Anyway, fun to see it again in the summer months. Thanks man!

Kenneth. I noticed in some of your walks that in outdoor parking lots, or on the street, that most cars backed into their spots. In some cases, there was not a single car that drove straight into the parking spot. Is there some kind of law about this? How come so many people do this?
