On a warm July early afternoon, we start our walk on the shores of Lake Union, walk up Stone Way to 45th, then take 45th to University Way, aka The Ave, and then walk down the hill via 52nd Street before arriving at Ravenna Brewing for a well deserved beer (or two). Stone Way straddles Fremont and Wallingford. 45th is the main commercial street in Wallingford. I’ve walked down the stairs on 52nd Street before, but I always enjoy this route from the U District to Ravenna and the University Village area.
