It is great so watch this video, now when this viaduct was removed completly. You save this antique panorama. Wow.

Looks pretty good! And some of these spots are supposed to be the most terrible areas of Seattle. Things are improving. 😊😊😊

my old stomping ground. looks like EVERYTHING has changed. i lived in that building at 35:50 during my childhood. that taco place you passed.that used to be an arcade in the 80s and was pretty awesome. i lived at that park. it had a concrete kiddie pool and a big metal slide with dinosaur sculptures. i was born at that hospital. Dicks is the BEST and Broadway was one heck of a ride in the 80s. the foot long purple mowhawks, the breakdances. people walking around with exotic animals lol people preaching that the world was ending, girls walking around trying to look like Madonna 😅 the best!!! thank you we left and moved to the east coast when i was a preteen. this was so nice and nostalgic to see again. thanks again ❤

I remember there used to be a University Friends Meeting House just north of the University Bridge on the west side, where you were walking. It looks like that's gone now.
@WalkSignals26 күн бұрын
It’s still there. I didn’t walk by it, though.
@WalkSignals26 күн бұрын
I was very close to it, but went up Roosevelt instead of over to 9th, where the meeting house is.

I think it just burned down a couple of weeks ago. Another abandoned building fire. It’s been a big problem.

I remember when there was a Safeway along the area of Stoneway you walk on. It looks like it's gone now.
@WalkSignalsАй бұрын
Yes, it’s been gone for several years now. The old businesses along Stone Way are all slowly getting replaced by apartments.

Fabulous video, especially the Fremont Bridge opening. Enjoyed the through Queen Anne district walk, too; it’s my favorite area in Seattle. Thanks, thanks! Fremont, next?

Is it humid here? To me, it looks like it smells damp because of the water but it isn't humid, as in it seems like the temp is too mid (70ish) with slight breeze.

I wasn't sure where the lighthouse was. Maybe it's not a stereotypical-looking lighthouse. I noticed you pointed your finger at 1:10:00, but i had trouble making out what you were pointing at. Are you prohibited from getting close to it? Another really nice walk.
@WalkSignalsАй бұрын
Sorry, my bad. It’s at 1:10:45. You can’t get right up to it, but you can get closer than I did by going up that little alley. It sounded like they were doing some work so I didn’t try to get closer. I think I was pointing at an osprey. I get excited when I see ospreys.😃
