Part 7 of our walk along the coast path of Wales. We begin at Conwy castle where we finished up a few weeks before and continue to Llanfairfechan. Leaving Conwy we walk along the estuary leading us back out to sea, with mountain views we follow the A55 North Wales Expressway as we weave around the edge of a mountain sticking out to sea. Passing alongside Dwygyfylchi, Penmaenmawr and Penmaen along the way.

Hi Webby, I live in London but my mother was born and raised in Llanfairfechan. I spent many of my summers as a child and teenager there, thank you for providing video and reminding me of this beautiful part of my life.

Hi, thank you for your comment, it's the first time I have been there myself, and could not agree more, it's a beautiful part of the world. Had coffee and a cake there yesterday as went back to film the next part of the coast path, walking to Bangor from Llanfairfechan. So there is a bit more in that video, and spoiler alert, a bit more Llanfairfechan at the very end. 😉

We’re so behind on these!! This is a lovely part of the route. Great info on the trains. Conwy is such a beautiful place. We loved the walk into the estuary. Wow the horses on the beach! Glad you added your rock!! Ah Penmaenmawr! Brings back hill walking memories. Great work - loved it 🍻

Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. The rock towers, I like to add rocks where I can, do my bit. I feel the path seems to get better and better. All the best both. Andy

Great Video I love how great North Wales is with fantastic landscapes and the views across to Anglesey can motivate anyone to keep going! The Art work was also fantastic on Penmaenmawr Promanade! Have a good weekend 👍

Thank you, Phil. Yes, another great section. I really enjoyed walking this with all the mountains, sea and Anglesey. We stayed at Llanfairfechan a while at the end of the walk at the coffee shop next to the beach, watching the boats. A great day. Thank you for watching, All the best, Andy 👍

Absolutely superb video Webby. . Captured the route perfectly. 3 rest stops? I carried on to Bangor without stopping. I think the shorter route much more enjoyable. Nice one again.great reminiscing.

Thanks John,, to be fair it felt like we could have done a bit more in the end. I have mapped my route for the next one to the Menai bridge using the official map and it says it's 19km, but the coast path sign in Llanfairfechan says Bangor is only 6 Miles. The map says you have to come inland quite a bit just before Bangor so the next one will either be short or really long for us. Rest 1 and 3 were a quick sit down, rest 2 was a coffee in the cafe.

@@WebbysWalks yeah it feels a lot more than 6 miles to Bangor. The inland part is not great until you come to the woodland path along the old railway line coming out at the Port. Remember you need to go to end of Bangor Pier .its a long pier!

@@SmithyGolfandSmithyWalks Will definitely do the pier, never been before. I was not sure if the map was accurate after spotting the sign on Llanfairfechan promenade. The line I have drawn on Google maps of the route to the Menai is 19.5km. I think it's around 12 Miles, plus a bit back to Bangor. Looking forward to it.

I used to live in Llanfair, we always said it was 7 miles to Bangor. I reckon that might be border to border. Its a way from the border to Garth and then to the pier and then along Seriol road ...and then quite another long way to Menai Bridge, so yeah I wouldnt be suprised if 20 km was the correct distance along the coastal path.
