Walking to school with Waed in Hebron

This short film follows Waed, a Palestine refugee, as he makes his way through a number of Israeli military checkpoints in Hebron before arriving at the UNRWA Basic Boys School. In the West Bank, UNRWA operates 96 schools reaching almost 50,000 students, many of whom are exposed to significant challenges in a context marked by military operations, settler violence, and delays at checkpoints, for example.

Just to think that my tax money as a Canadian citizen going to produce this conscience. Zero harassment, soldiers barely giving a look, no "terrible settlers" in sight at all. And additional question? How it can be that Palestinian Arab, living in Palestine still considered a "refugee" and my money spent to carry after a "refugee" in his homeland?

If you were a soldier or settler and you saw someone following this kid with a video camera, would you harass him in any way? No-I don't think so. They may be brutal, but they're not stupid. Oh! And about your tax money? I'll trade you. I live in the USA and we give Israel more aid money than the whole of the rest of Africa combined. Israel-not the Palestinians. And the aid we give Israel is unconditional. The aid we give the PA comes with many conditions and is millions, instead of BILLIONS like we give to Israel.

I cannot see an improvement in here or anywhere in that area. Palastinas are still treated like the refugees in their own land, actually, it should be other way around but the freaking soldiers make life more difficult for Arabs.
