Hey man, I'm from Brazil and I teach history and critical thinking in the filed architecture and urban planning at university. All of your walking videos are amazing! Seeing a city from a perspective of a actual person experiencing those spaces makes such a huge difference in understanding those places. And on top of that you give us a crazy amount info about the places you visit. Keep up the work man! Bless you!

Sanford was a mill town in Maine. They have crazy people just like every town. They also have a great deal to offer. Some of the best schools in the state and lots of really great people.

I grew up in Sanford, Maine and I can't wait to move back. My Dad still lives there and is very active in the community. Also have some cousins that live there and my brother lives in Biddeford. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's a wonderful little town.

Bless you, man. I was born and raised there until I recently left. You're either part of Sanford or you're not, if that makes any sense. You're video is a pretty accurate representation of how it is. Thanks for sharing!

Well, sometimes smaller towns are very insular. If you look like you "don't belong" they'll let you know...

Used to walk all lot where you walked as a teen in the early 00s and dudes would drive by screaming at me and my friend, and if we reacted with a scream, wave, or finger, these lifeless idiots would literally pull over and jump out to try to fight us. And only ever in Sanford, all other towns were safe but here we got in so many fights just trying to walk to the damn store. There's a definite mental health issue in Sanford like maybe toxic water but it's so common we expected to get in flights walking to 711 and it happened every single time. Also me and my friend got harassed, and kicked and hit by a gang of literally kindergarten kids. Sanford is a hole

It’s a beautiful city. It’s nice when towns preserve their history and keep historical buildings.

Hey welcome to Maine. If you ever make it back up you should check out Bath/Brunswick area. Bath is especially known for alot of old homes that used to be owned by ship captains. God bless you man. Stay safe.

Yeah, that’s just pretty common for Maine and especially Sanford, the way the police dropped the ball with Robert card is just kind of how it can be here sometimes. It’s a beautiful small community everywhere, but when you cross into actual problems that are not tourist friendly news you want reports on interfering with the money and reputation Maine builds. You’re are absolutely on your own except for the occasional shelter or mental health clinic scattered across the state, but they are not nearly big enough to help the amount of people struggling. You do just kind have to laugh and just be happy that he is at least speaking his truth and move on. I love that you didn’t act as if he wasn’t even worth the acknowledgment. A lot of people just don’t respond, Sanford has a lot more people that like to tell you what’s up than pretty much anywhere else I have ever been lol it’s just “San-fid” p.s. it’s actually pronounced like mouse-Ham (but mostly silent on the h, I just don’t know how else to type out the Mainer inflection on that lol) the way you pronounced it made me smile though, you are probably saying it correctly and we got it wrong to be honest but 😂

Lmao no, it was a mill town. I grew up here most of it use to be beautiful o small town nice, but then jobs were lost so kids turned to drugs, now when I visit family it’s all crack Brad’s everywhere and homeless. Those that don’t do drugs have money and are snobby to outsiders unless you know someone in town

I don’t get the objective of all the talking. It’s hooblah. The red house you mention goes for between 300-600k. Ughh it’s much more expensive than 300k in any economy and yah cars range from $1-$1,000,000
