My deepest condolences to you...My grandpa also used to walk me to and from school from 3rd grade to 5th grade. He would always wait outside no matter what even in rain and hot blazing sun. I lived with my aunt and uncle until college, and my grandparents came to America to help raise us. This one time it rained so hard our pants were soaking wet. I remember how tightly he held my hand, and how we laughed at each other from being soaked wet from the rain. I don't think I ever held a warmer hand than his.

This comment reminds me of my grandfather, he passed away 5 years ago, his bd was the 26th of December and almost all the years all the family stay together for several days for Christmas and his bd, after he passed away all the family fought for several reasons, since that year we don’t celebrate together the holidays nor birthdays...

It's the complete opposite for me. When my grandma passed 10 years ago it's when my relatives started to gather together during Christmas eve to still feel the unity of a family. Even when she's no longer there we can still feel her in our hearts.

This reminds me of my grandma who passed away a year ago we were so happy and I hope she is in a happier place
