Hi, Tim! I’m from Spain just outside of Benidorm, I hope you enjoyed your stay. Just a heads up, blue parking means you have to pay from 8am to 21:30 (Summer hours). After 21:30 it’s free and Sundays are free all day. It changes in the winter but I can’t remember. Always enjoy watching your videos!

Aw we love an early morning flight! Gets you there and ready to enjoy your first afternoon plus i hate hanging about on the last day when you know your leaving! 😂 hope you enjoyed your trip! ☀️✈️

We stayed at Hotel Helios last year Tim the rooms were very pleasant and a decent nights sleep, the breakfast next morning was your normal standard buffet style, with lots and lots of selection. Really enjoy watching all of your interesting videos, including with your wife and baby son.

Always go for the early morning flights - less chance of delay! + If your on a package your return flight is early! You really can't beat Jet2!

I stayed in the exact same hotel many times, and always loved it. The corner rooms were always the best.

I was very surprised to see the Zante shipwreck photo on the wall of a Benidorm hotel - recognised it straight away especially as I've been right next to it on that beach. You can only get to it by boat, though you can visit the overlook above which we did on an off-road safari tour. I loved Zante, though it was a trip booked 3 weeks prior to our departure following the collapse of our long-time planned trip to Spain in the madness of 2020. There's so many wonderful things to do on the island, and Zante Town itself is well worth an explore.

Thanks for recommending this video, when I stopped to speak to you and Gaby, in Norwich today. (Somehow I had missed it.) Also, thank you both, for being so friendly and gracious with your time. As a regular viewer since your first video, it has been great to see your progress from that walk around Hemsby, in 2020, to such a well presented travel channel. Luton Airport looks so modern, with that automated rail connection and the current terminal building, as I remember it, as you said, when it was just a small building and a car park! As always, a high quality video, packed with helpful facts, and some lovely views, from the flight, and of Benidorm. Now going to watch your latest video, from your stay at Alton Towers. 🤩

Loved your travel day to Alicante video Tim excellent.Loved the Dart system for getting from the terminal to the gate.Shame no one helped you pick up your stuff,some people are so selfish.Thankyou ,excellent as usual.

Tip when hiring a car. Instead of paying for enhanced insurance protection with the car hire company, buy a third party policy for a lot cheaper. You can buy an annual cover or cover for one trip. If you ever had an incident you would have to pay the excess to the car hire company but put a claim in on your policy to recoup the money afterwards.

I recommend going to the Benidorm festival in November. There is the big British fancy dress on the Thursday and there around 20k of brits all dressed up. Its always in the news. Its worth visiting nothing like it anywhere. 16th November it happens this year. I am staying in the RH Carfali which is always nice as you know

Thanks for the insight into the new dart system. Flying into Luton in July. Looking forward to using this, it's a real game changer for the airport. Using the link bus was a nightmare. Your right about early morning flights, airports are crammed, no seats and less options for breakfast.

I went to zante years ago and got a boat trip to the shipwreck , stayed at hotel contessina in tsvilli, have never been to benidorm before your hotel room looked very nice x

This is a great insight of what I might be experiencing next week. Sometimes it’s soooo smooth getting through there but looks like the big olde queues have started 😅!!

The Birmingham transit from the station to the airport is also driverless, takes about 1.5 mins but it's FREE! 😉

I agree with paying extra for car hire insurance for peace of mind, enjoy your trip.

Unfortunately stressed and rude is happening in all four corners of the world. I’m in the US born and raised in NYC and seems everyone is in a mad rush and God help you if you slow them up. I walk with a cane and I’m slow and that’s not good 😱 people automatically get annoyed, it’s pretty sad. I worry for our future generations. Sorry didn’t mean to get so heavy. I thought maybe it was just happening in America but no it’s not just us. Anyway here’s to a kinder future 😊♥️🌎. Thanks I do enjoy watching your travel videos.

Hello Tim,food was expensive but when you need food and something to drink.Alicante looks so beautiful when the sun is out,the room has a nice setup with a view from the balcony.

Tim, NEVER EVER EVER take the additional insurance at the desk. If you had this trip planned...a few seconds online back at home and an independent insurance company would giver you the same but probably better cover for around £15 to £20. You got stung there...sorry.

Great video. Lovely hotel room, nice and spacious. It looks pretty new. Never been to Benidorm. Love the pic on the wall of the shipwreck beach. Be good to see that video. Zante is lovely. It’s a pebble beach, so make sure you wear your shoes as the stones hurt so much.

People are always stressed at airports Tim. Usually because they are late, or have screaming kids LOL 😊

Things have really changed at Luton Airport there wasn't much there in the 70's when we went to Alicante. The train from Luton looks great.

As a Spaniard, I will never understand the appeal of Benidorm. It looks like hell lmao. But hey, if it's fun for some people I won't bash it too much

Sorry im late with a comment Tim, was sat outside most of the day & had a late tea. I wanted to save this til later so i could watch on the big screen. The mini train taking you from part of Luton Airport seems so novel to me, & it seemed quite a long journey from one part to the other. I guess its getting so busy in Airports in the summer Months! This time last year i hadn't jouned your channel so I've never seen how packed Airports get in the summertime. Love your soundtracks on all your travel all vlogs i have to say! Always chilled vibes. Hotel looks posh! And the pool looks nice with the Palm Trees 🌴 all around. The balcony was nice but those High Rise Buildings outside look like they've seen better days. Bathroom so clean, small but compact i like the fact the Hairdryer is in the Bathroom instead of the Bedroom for convenience. Room looks lovely & clean & a nice neutral decor. And Wow you said there was a Nightclub in the Hotel aswell! I've never heard of that! No need for taxi after clubbing to find you back to your room!!

The last one I saw was you and your wife walking around a firework in Great Yarmouth. I don't normally comment on anything KZfaq videos, but I feel compelled to do so.

I am going to Benidorm for 7 nights on July 23,staying at The Riviera. It will be my 9th visit and 8th different hotel. I only went to the Melia twice because it was covid times and I wanted somewhere with its own indoor pool as it was Christmas time both times I went and too cold for the outside pool. I have been looking at The Helios for Christmas 2023 as it has a heated outdoor pool.

For insurance if you travel regularly, we have an annual policy for car insurance excesses for £125 a year and it covers all rentals and drivers on the policies when hiring in any country

Hi, i have indeed stayed at the same hotel with my family a few years back, I always believed that the hotel was named after a balloon 😂 but then I realised.

I stayed in the hotel helios with my parents back in 1988!!!
