Hi Joey I love the way you show your mistakes, not like a lot of other clips I’ve watched in the perfect workshop where nothing goes wrong Anyone who’s done this job for a number of years knows it’s not about perfection it’s about how you get round the problems to make it look right. Like the old saying goes “A man who never made a mistake never made anything” Keep up the good work Cheers

Dude, you need the plans for those clamping squares you have. I know it’s a simple thing; but those are groovy. I like the versatility of them and the design.

Love the look of that house. Old floorboards and board walls. That unit looks like it'll last longer than the house.

Very nice and I love your honesty with your mistakes. personally I would put a discreet batten 15 x 15 along the bottom rear edge just to take some of the weight off the fixing screws.

Nice job Joey, good to see a common design from 50s and 60s Australia (and I assume New Zealand) getting used again in a modern setting. I agree the natural look on those doors would have been good against the whiteness. Thankyou.

Today as I was going about doing my business, I kept seeing your table-saw . . . I was thinking, to have that in my little basement workshop, I'd have to put all my tools and benches in the backyard, plus remove the two post holding up our house . . . that is some nice setup you have . . .

Great job Joey! With that beautiful view, who needs a tv? The natural wood tone would have been a great accent against the white walls. Customer is always right huh?

Nice job and nice video, Joey. I'm glad you edited out the bit where the registered sparky came in to wire up the wall socket. That would have been real boring to watch. Cheers, Ears.

Wall socket was already there. He just unscrewed it from the flush box, passed it through the hole and screwed it back down. No wiring necessary.

Joey, it looks like you're using a fast dry latex paint. Have you tried a water borne alkyd? You can get really nice results if you have time to let it dry. 1 coat per day. I was back in a house where I had coated a turret desk with Benjamin Moore's Advance in pearl finish and it was still perfect 3 years later.

Great job as always! I just watched two of you wall-hung cabinet videos and I noticed that you used a French cleat for the first project and screwed the unit in this video to the wall. When would you use one system over the other?

When you build something like this, how do you think about how much weight the screws will hold? Clearly its "plenty," but it seems like all that weight being suspended by those screws would make me nervous?

Watching this again after a long time. Didnt occur to me last time... but wasnt this piece incredibly heavy? Eventually you are at around 30mm thickness isnt it?
