I watched these scenes with the dvd commentary, and it is here that both Nick and Steve say that one of the reasons they scraped the idea of both Wallace and Hutch having to go back into the machine to get cured was because they loved Hutch so much that they didn’t want to turn him back into a regular rabbit. I do personally like the original ending a lot and wish they kept it somehow because I feel like it made more sense, but I still love seeing the rabbit sanctuary at the end too. Even though it’s no longer cannon to the story, I still enjoy seeing what could have been. And I’m happy that Lady Tottington gets to see fluffy creatures everyday.

It would’ve been a great way to bring the film’s main characters full circle: Gromit getting to experience at least a little bit of normalcy as he and Hutch head off to stop and save Wallace.

- The first alternate ending here is a BIT too similar to the ending of A Close Shave for me. The bit afterwards is nice though! - Okay, the Wedding scene is BAFFLING. Who's idea was THAT? Although the bit with the Yorkshire Border is nice. - Although the song is quite nice, and I appreciate the reference to Wash 'N Go, it's not very "Wallace and Gromit" in my mind.

One of the original endings show Hutch is placed back into the Mind-O-Matic, with Wallace inside the BunVac as part of an attempt to restore the two back to their pre-accident selves. When Wallace and Gromit try the carrot test, Hutch refuses the carrot, but instead dives into a whole bowl full of carrots, revealing that he has been restored with his rabbit instincts.

Fascinating and interesting for me to look at deleted scenes on animated films incl. this film. I love Wallace & Gromit. Nick Park is the temporary voice for Wallace as a part of the animation process before they get animated and before Peter Sallis. I loved this movie so much as a kid and I still do years after I’ve grown up. In my opinion both Alternate endings work. However, I love the one they came up with best.

I actually felt that the two deleted scenes should work into the movie just fine, especially the second one where they demonstrated the Mind Manipulation-O-Matic in the first test run.

In the CG Altered Rabbit Ears scene, The music at the beginning isn't anywhere as good as it is in the final cut of movie. Also if Wallace still has rabbit ears then, how comes he has normal ears at 4:30 and then rabbit ears again 4:38? Then normal ears once again at 5:29​? That is a goof! What's more it made more sense to not have the rabbit ears in the final cut if the curse of was lifted. But how wouldn't Wallace have needed to use the mind o matic to lift the curse? Ps what does CG stand for?
