New information from a former Walmart Spark Driver Support Agent's work experience shows how Walmart may be involved in unethical practices including, but not limited to stealing tips.
Many of us thought that this was going on and this former driver support agent spilled the beans so that everyone could know what Walmart is doing to lower driver pay.

There is no other logical explanation why you get up to 3 orders at a time and the payouts be so low.

If they would be patient and reject those shit offers they would surge.

You have to do what your able to do. Don't worry about what other drivers do because you have no control over them. Your never get everyone on the same page. Instead of complaining about something you have no control over. Consider limiting your time on this app and find a second income source that is not a gig based job.

They are paying low wages. I started driving 5 years ago and they keep dropping the pay. That’s the reason why they won’t do anything about it.

I called Tier 2 support because I had a 60 timer shopping order that disappeared with 45 secs left I got a message that it was accepted by another driver. WTF? Support said BOTS can steal orders that have a timer oh really. I go in and I see a scammer doing my missing order because I saw those apple air tags on the list before it disappeared I have a picture of the scammer holding 2 phones speak no English

The illegals in Illinois has tripled in the last 3 weeks!! I'm deactivated for calling them Mexicans I guess cause I've done nothing wrong been doing this for over a year no problems till now with the illegals all over my store they just came in like a swarm and took the shop & delivery over, and hardly no delivery except 7.00 for line 18 miles!!

Recently, I received over a hundred dollars in adjustment earnings. The email from Spark said that the credit was the result of a system error. An error in which tips weren't delivered to me. That must've been one heck of an error because I hardly do tipped deliveries. I typically only do batch deliveries, which have no tips. The very next day, I received an email from Roadie--saying that they're reviewing my account. Hmmm...

I used to make a living off of spark. I had regular customers it was a really great job for me. Then they made it 3 deliveries every route and the pay went down dramatically it wasn't worth it anymore them stealing my tips make so much sense because I swear I never used to get tip baited this much

I do spark six days a week 12 hours a day for the last 4 1/2 years and I talked to all my customers I get all my tips so it must be a region thing. I did the whole ask and checked thing many many times and I’ve always gotten the money even have customers want me to check and I’ve gotten the money

Here in Las Vegas you rarely see anything over $8 mostly 3-4 drop offs over 6 miles for $8 every time. Not worth it!!

Walmart is in breach of their own contract that spark drivers had to sign. That contract says, " NO DUEL ACCOUNTS AND NO PASSENGERS WHILE DOING SPARK" and here Walmart is in Breach of contract. Walmart is doing insubordination.

Spark hurting here. platform is collapsing. so many drivers have switched other apps, Spark has incentives EVERY DAY NOW for 5 or 7 drops Sams paying $2 per drop-lol walmart employees cancelling orders cause they cant get the stuff out the door drivers revolting in the parking lots

Holy cow! I cannot believe this. I was a spark driver for like 2 weeks. I got fired for stealing but this is obnoxious. I didn't steal it. I had an extra item at the end of the night. I called the spark support and they told me to bring it back to the store the next morning and that's what I did. I handed it to them and I was deactivated for stealing. They don't want to talk to me. They won't fix it and now that you bring that up. I have a lot of experience in customer service and I always treat people good and take care of them and do things the right way. I didn't get one tip, not one. I hope you read this and reach out to me or somebody reaches out to me because this is terrible

Justin, I have news for you.... requiring Walmart workers to check licenses to ensure that the driver picking up the order is who he/she is supposed to be, is a bit ambitious. First of all, the Spark fraud we're talking about is being perpetrated by people who would otherwise be criminals. And many honest drivers are complaining about organized illegal aliens who are basically engaged in morally bankrupt behavior is it isn't criminal. It is not too far fetched that to protect their operations, they will share their booty with the $10/hr Walmart runners bringing out the orders. If all else fails, they can resort to making threats. I don't believe for one second that any Walmart employee cares at all what goes on that doesn't effect them; and to make it a situation where he/she/it could be threatened by morally bankrupt criminals is a stretch.

I'm still waiting on my "system error" tip payout. They are also stealing incentives by changing the delivery times on the orders. I have screenshots. Support does nothing.

This is exactly why I never tip on a delivery. Not even waitresses. I pay my bill to the company through the app or card but any tip is going to be placed in their hand. It's nobody Business what I feel like gifting my server. Especially the government. And I tip well. I've been there.

Walmart stores have created an illegal checkpoint. An illegal search and seize. Spark independent contractors learn your rights. Even the cops are suppose to have probable cause in order to ascertain your drivers license or id. The vast number of Walmart employees and associates are the ones stealing. It seems like they target spark independent contractors instead of address the real problem, which is their out of control employees. This ranges from the top all the way to the bottom. It's amazing how people state that drivers are able to grab multiple orders at once, but never show any proof. Doesn't spark independent contractors have to wait for a drop every hour? How is there time available to do multiple orders, with multiple accounts, within the allotted time frame then? Just doesn't make sense. Yeah, imaginary bot traffic...... However, there is nothing out there that reveals this so-called bot traffic at work. We all know there would've been a yt video created to show people how it all works if there was a such thing that exist.

Walmart spark app already has a glitch when trying to scan customer orders that have alcohol that require to scan the customers id or drivers licenses and sometimes it wont work and it might not work as well if drivers need to scan their id for identification for orders.

Justin, does the article explain what the terms of her separation were? This is something that could be reported to the DOL and there would be an investigation to determine if WM is doing this; if this is really happening. My thinking is that she may be disgruntled, therefore providing false information in order to bring WM under scrutiny since she knows there would be no way.for anyone to verify if this is actually happening. UPDATE: I see the link in the description, I am reviewing it now.

I, as a customer, always request my Siggy. I have had items missing from my order such as meats and cleaning agents when I select to leave at my door. Sometimes my groceries were delivered to the wrong address. I started requesting my Siggy to help to cut down on all this BS.

I worked from 8 am to 2pm yesterday. Thought I was pretty busy. Only made $75. I was piseed that this happened because when I calculated i should have made more than 100 easy. This is in the Kansas city Market. Walmart management in some stores don't help out with these unotherized account holders' verification. I in fact have a strategic way to scare em off but they keep on coming back like cockroaches. Also orders have lower pay with less than $1 per hour. I in fact, no that this can be resolved with a little bit of extra verification on the curb side and shopping and delivery. I did hear that a few people have submitted a class action lawsuit against Walmart and spark.

Management doesn't care in a lot of areas unfortunately. glad that you can scare them off some. I wonder if people start calling ICE if that will help. I've had a few people comment about wanting to do that but no one has let me know how it went. I would be down for a class action lawsuit. They act like they are too big to worry about anything and need to be knocked down a bit

Walmart can get sued for illegal checkpoints. They are independent contractors which means they can hire employees to help out. I would sue Walmart if they ID’d me. Even though I am not a scammer. My husband uses my account sometimes. As long as I authorize him to use my account.

Also the personal insurance doesn’t cover if you get into an accident. My insurance told me I need comercial insurance to operate with spark. And they don’t tell you that. That should be a law suit right there. Because Amazon flex provides a 1mil insurance on top of your personal insurance for deliveries. And spark doesn’t provide anything. If you get into a car accident you are on your own.

They don't tell you,because they have a clause that if your insurance denies claim because of working delivery they are off the hook as well. And will turn you in to your insurance company for delivering

There is ppl in my market that have had tips not show up after weeks now months. Kept telling them to call back. Nothing ever was resolved. Ppl can still pick up Shop and delivery orders there is no ID check at register. Generally, there is really no way to stop these drivers that should be on the platforms working. Our market has so many drivers that we constantly don't get any orders. Newbies ever we like 5 at a time. We are a store out in the country and most our orders go from 1-18 miles of of the area. It's just a shit show out here now days!

@@JustinMaxwellbiz wow! And you haven’t been able to fix that confusion? I know going through support is maddening, but you have an ID that says you are who you say you are. Seems like an easy fix. Just this morning, DD did the same facial recognition that Spark does and said they could not verify my identity and they would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Support, less than no help at all, but eventually could log back on after 30 minutes.

Holy over-complication of the ID scan idea. There is no need to create a data base and cross reference blah blah blah just deactivate when the ID doesnt match the driver name on the order.

Well, I think that’s the whole reason why they do the self the selfie check they have your license on the app already and you know copy license from when you signed up and then they do facial recognition against your selfie against her drivers license and they have your license plate number on file. They have all that stuff from when you signed up so everything you saying they already doing.

The people purchasing and renting accounts are passing selfie checks by having the person that owns the account log in and take a selfie and then they let the renter/purchaser know that the check has been passed and then the illegal unauthorized person logs back in and continues to work. there need to be more things put in place

@@JustinMaxwellbizas a 1099 driver you can hire others with your business. You are a business not a worker for Walmart or Spark. Independent contractors can’t be told how to do their work. As long as the owner of the account authorizes you to use their account. Like my husband can use my account.

I just want to say this about Walmart been with them for years, just wondering why I’m seeing only Mexicans now, I get a name no picture no make of car, I even went as to cancel my order because of lack of communication and within seconds I had another Mexican finish my order up, on one occasion the driver had taken a picture of the groceries as normal but he goes oh I have one more thing, I stood there and waited not knowing he was planing on taking a picture of my backside and that picture was loaded onto the Walmart app not showing no groceries but only my backside, weird I know I wanted to see if Krogers or Uber changed their policies they didn’t only Walmart did, I’m not happy call me judgemental but I don’t feel safe and I called Walmart and the lady said to me that’s probably because Americans don’t want to work, I thought that’s a lie because I had happy delivery friends.

I do not like being bother for id verification. The app is already doing that when I login. I don't want some randle employee coming up to verify my identity when checking out. That is one of several reasons I only do shop orders.
