There is a reason Breville turned off their comment section. I hate this machine and the company sucks!! So I bought a Beeville because I saw rave reviews, and I already bought a Jura and a DeLonghi, and both machines we crap and I returned them after the first week because they did not pull good shots and we temperamental. I don't have time for that in the morning. I need a reliable machine that pulls the perfect shot the first time. The first Breville out of the box did not even work, something was wrong and the pump was dead. Called the company and spent two weeks waiting on the replacement. Got the second machine and it arrived wet, which was odd. Then went to use it and it smelled like burning electrical, so I finally returned it. The Breville is garbage but what will shock you is I bought a Ultima Cosa, Presto Bollente from Walmart on a hunch after examining it. It is less than half the price of the Breville. It is flat out the best machine, and it blew me away. I have only had it a week. Set the grind at 5 and it pulls the perfect shots every time. it heats up quick, it grinds perfectly every time, perfect steam and frothing. Serious so glad I decided to try it. You will not be disappointed, especially at half the price.

How is it after 3 weeks?

It is pretty good, i really enjoy it! And it fits my kitchen style as well.@@JoeGraves24

It’s a built in grinder so you know what you’re getting. Don’t expect to brew anything other then dark roasted coffee with this and that’s fine if that’s what your drinking.

For the price, can’t really beat it. How has it been reliability wise? I bought one and played around with it, modded it, then gifted it to a couple that likes coffee but not deep into the rabbit hole just yet.

Super automatic machines are a pain... they need to be cleaned all the time. Semi-automatic ones are really better.

Geez... By the time you're finished, do you even want it? I need a nap. 😅

@@kiki1965 I was excited at first. Way too much upkeep and I had to order cleaning tablets from Bosch. I ended up buying a Keurig 👍

Yes great machine

Glad to see reliability is good. I bought one just to play with and mod, then gifted it away. Put a dimmer on the pump and tightened up the grind setting a few notches.

The water might be running through the filtter too fast, try to use the filter basket with only a small hole in the bottom.

You mean, out of the 4 filters not the regular ones with the holes but the ones you explained is used for grinding with the one small hole you showed us?

Hey, I just wanted to inform you that I got it to work, I thought the gauge part of the machine was not working but it is. I believe this will be the only way I brew my coffee. I appreciate your help greatly. ❤

@@JustADad Ultima Cosa is a super cheap knock off to the expensive Breville coffee grinder expresso machine. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my machine. This is the best money spent on a coffee machine ever. I highly recommend it. Thank you @JustADad for all the advice.

I bought one of these and modded it with a dimmer, then gifted it away. But I do remember getting surprised that steam was coming up from the drip tray. Also water would be coming from under the tray if not fully inserted. Might have some kind of valve in it… I do still have a photo of the insides.. will have to inspect it

yes and no, Mr coffee is much eaiser to use but his one makes a great espresso but lot more work.

It basically just tells you if you’re in the espresso pressure range. Espresso should be around 8 to 10 bars.

@DrWho-Tardis I would definitely recommend it. I got one, and it hasn't disappointed. Easy to dial in, plenty of aftermarket upgrades, and it's solidly built.

2 inches is 50 mm. Which is typical in this price class.

Might be but I bet the Breville doesn't give 2x better coffee for it's price point.

Dad is a cool guy but yeah... I cry over these videos are how much beans get wasted for every video. I weight my beans and don't let a single gram go wasted or spilled.

The appropriate way to reply to this video is to be respectful and give advise. Not be condescending and rude. He like anyone else who would use this machine has to learn. Not everyone that buys an expresso machine knows everything about brewing expresso. Try being helpful and not a jerk. Being kind goes a long way. He does do a lot of videos on coffee machines more so than expresso machines so naturally he knows more about those machines.

Espresso is an expensive hobby and machines like this are just not worth the coin. Landfill waste of you ask me.

I bought one of these and got some great extractions, but I’ve been making real espresso for a few years on other machines. I have a quick video on here showing this machine with a dimmer mod and correctly ground, fresh coffee

If it's anymore than 2 ounces for the double shot, you have to grind finer to dial in properly. Thanks again for these great videos
