Walter Neilson's Tramway and Thingdon Quarry (Finedon)

3 жыл бұрынDown by The Kotch there is a Rail freight yard called "Neilsons Siding" and on the old maps its shows it had a tramway which headed to Thingdon Quarry in Finedon. This is what i have learnt.

I haven't been 'up the Firs' for maybe 30 years. We used to spend whole summers exploring the old quarries around Finedon, so it brought back so many memories. Thanks for that.

I swear we are following each other! I was doing a photo story in Thingdon Quarry, Glebe Quarry and Nevilles Lodge on Sunday afternoon. (and had to climb up out the gullet at the same place you got stuck). Nice work, keep it up sir.

@@PurpleVision23 not to sure i use a snap on one which my best pal give me but a bike light for light painting with the camera but most LED ones are pritty decent and one which charge from usb cable which will save a fortune on batteries and can charge it if your in Jamie's motor 👍
