Walter Ray Williams Jr games 4 to 6 of 6 at the PBA50 Lehigh Lanes Open at Lehigh Lanes in Lehigh Acres Florida on May 17 2024. This is the first PBA tournament using USBC certified string pins. The pattern for this tournament is the 46' Petraglia pattern. String pins might be strange to some people, but if it eliminates some of that huge maintenance cost of auto pinsetters then its a huge win for bowling. We need to adapt to jeep the sport growing snd profitable. Thanks for being such a great ambassador for the game!

At 73 and not a lot of speed I could use some string knocking over that 4 pin. But I'd rather not if it comes to my area.

Zombie pins. Knock em down and watch them get right back up. How would you rate the pin action? Looks like everyone is leaving a ton of corner pins.

They are pretty close to free fall. It seems that light hits don't carry quite as well with strings and there doesn't seem to be as many solid 8's and 9's. There are good breaks and bad breaks in free fall and with string pins.

Not me. I've been bowling since 1975 and although the highest I've ever averaged is 201, I am a traditionalist. I see the lack of pin action and I don't know if I could think of this of the same game I grew up with.

Thank you for uploading all these videos. I watch them all the time. As a top end bowler for many years, I disagree on anything attached to a pin. This WILL make a difference. That is ok for candle pins etc but not for traditional bowling. This is going to kill traditional bowling even more.
