I have many Walthers engines and all look great. I also have maybe 300 Accurail cars, love them! I replace all the wheelsets with nickel silver ones and they all run great!! Thanks for the video.

I wish manufacturers made taking the pilot handrails easier to take off especially if you plan on putting on the grab irons as that is a real pain and challenge to do, speaking from experience. Nice review!

Good, honest review. Even more intriguing is the hidden O gauge S1 and your HO Q2. Inversely, I have an HO S1 and an O scale Q2 lol

The round stock speakers on those Mainline units is particularly weak, my SD50 had a 0.25 watt 8 ohm speaker; replacing it with the appropriate Scale Sound Systems design rated at 1 watt 8 ohms will make a world of difference. Nice review!

I have a Walthers Proto GP-7, and it looks and runs great. It even has the grab irons installed!! It's probably a step up from the Mainline locos, and costs a little more, but it runs well.

I agree on the plastic couplers. The ONLY couplers worse than McHenry's, (what Athearn and what Bachmann calls "e-z mates") are the Accumates from Accurail.

I also love BLI locomotives, have all of the steamers plus a few diesel locomotives. I am begging them to produce the BP20 PRR Passenger Diesel.
