Your lumber store is nicer looking than mine. Mine doesn't carry any dowels. I think you'll be happy with the cherry. You can get some pretty wild grain patterns. Can't wait to see what you do with these.

What about a wand that has a feather-looking plume that curls kinda like your redwood one; maybe Greek inscribed in swirls up the shaft? Also, what would you use the dowels for? They're really tiny

I also like Woodcraft. They do have an amazing selection of wood to choose from. Picking your own pieces is much better since you can visualize the finished product.

The black and white ebony wood looks so nice. That can definitely make a unique and organic looking wand. I just found your channel today, but I want to say that I love the work and creativity you put into your wand designs.

This is interesting, I don't normally buy different woods because I have a yew tree in my garden. I just use that and paint to make it resemble woods like ebony.

Try using ivy. It gives you a nicely bendy wand and are really fun to make.

Cool! Thank you. I was wondering where to get other woods. Looked up Woodcraft. Same problem. Closest one is 2 hrs. Plan to take a close look at Home Depot, and Lowes. But, I think I'll have to make an excuse to do that drive.

I was wondering: What do you do with the very small dowels? And what size of would would you recommend to use for a wand? The wood I can get in my shop is pretty small, about one inch, sometimes even smaller. And I loved this video! Please, more wood shop hauls!

Love your videos my pottermore wand is made of Laurel. If you got my commission I would love to see you make it. For me the more rough it is the better I was kinda going for a half dark half light magic look to it. But anyway love your wands love your videos habe a great day and keep doing what you do I don't think I'll ever get tired of you making wands. Stay awsome.

What do you think about scavenging wood from the woods? I have a small wooded area behind my home and I thought about gathering to make wands.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to turn wood on a lathe, this is a bad idea. You want seasoned, or kiln-dried wood for that. If you want a free-form, hand-carved wand, this is an excellent source of wood. It helps if you know what type of tree it is coming from.

Why not just go to the woods and reclaim fallen wood. They say that has magical properties and if it was struck by lightning it is supposed to harness the power when made into a wand.

Can you make a hawthorn wood wand? That’s what my wand is on pottermore and no one ever makes them out of it. I can’t wait to see it if you ever do make one

I just tossed hawthorn logs into my storage unit. I need to get them milled and start drying them out. There's little chance of finding hawthorn COMMERCIALLY. It is, however, a common ornamental tree. Check with whoever is in charge of trimming trees in your town. You might get your wood for the asking.

Your car was nice and clean 😊 but your the person to leave your windshield wipers in the middle of your window when you turn off your car! Blasphemy lol I have to wait for them to get back to their original position before I turn off the car.

Setting up the camera and getting different shots , that’s all I could think of and I did not notice that until I was editing, also I had to turn the car on and off 3 times to get the shot, lol 😂

Dylan Brocato you can ask him and give him a design that you would like. If he likes that design than will take inspiration and do something SIMILAR not the same but SIMILAR. 😂 And then if you like the wand he made you you can but it and all that jazz

You can pronounce padauk either "pad dock" or "pad dook". I've heard it pronounced both ways.

How about trying to make wands from tree braches? Just for an expiriment. I've tried myself to make a wand from a branch and its natural shape with a natural colour finish looked gorgeus
