I gotta admit, as much as I really liked the final version of this episode, I love how much more Sylvia got to do in the pilot. Sure, she didn’t look her greatest yet, but I loved the part where she stood up for Wander and defeated Hater with her running around in the dangerous Canyon and Hater following her. She got a lot to do in the pilot, which I wish was incorporated in the final version of the episode. Still the best character ❤️

I am ready to note that in the pilot Sylvia behaves more rudely, while in the final version she is ready for Wander's funny ideas, for example that scene with the camera and dancing scene

I think that Sylvia in the pilot is a grain of sanity and more protective than in the show, we could compromise and make Sylvia the same as in the pilot, but also as brave as in the final version of the show. Although later, as the show progresses, she absorbs all those qualities from the pilot. I like.

Interesting how Hater looked more mature, creepy and dangerous in the pilot. In final version we see, how goofy he is, from the start,he immediately looks funny as soon as we see him, but in the pilot we are convinced he is a really scary serious villain until the end

Pilot Syl was grumpy, rude and too..."Wander get down to ground is too dangerous". Syl in the serias. Brave, proud, protective, lovely, soft and THE BEST FRIEND FOR THIS SPOON! Ah, I missed those episodes. And I missed Wander and Sylvia. The last one that remaind me of them were Molly and Scratch. Seriously. Molly is obsession with any idea and won't be stopped until somebody put her on the ground. Like Wander. Good funny cartoon won't live longer. That is the curse of Bill Cypher. He cursed every new cartoon that won't bring Disney any money. He wasn't asking for re-born, it was curse.

I like Sylvia and Wander's overal chemistry in the piolet better. Girly's fighting for her life out here, she's terrified, she's trying SO hard to get them out of this mess, but then she comes around at the end and they KICK ASS so much harder than they do in the version that made it to air. On a side note, I like Lord Hater's pilot design better, he looks a little creepier, which make his intimidation scenes work better, but also make the scenes where he acts like a man-child feel so much funnier!

Well the original idea was that Wander and Sylvia weren’t gonna be buddy buddy in the beginning and they were gonna warm up to each other more as the season went on.

I liked the pseudo rubberhouse style and theme they went for, you could even hear it in the music. The show’s style is great and i’m glad it found its stylistic identity.

The old version is not really my deal since Sylvia feels like a boring and predictable sidekick rather than the absolute interesting deuteragonist. Thankfully, she was completely into Wander's stuff in final version and this is what makes the dynamics between them golden

I’m very invested of how Lord Hater look like in the pilot he used to look very intimidating and more skeletal like in that Pilot Episode As much as I love his Goofy and Simple Design in the series, I’m really liking his first design in that pilot! He looks intimidatingly scary and more badass and a lot more skeleton like and I guess a little bigger?.. He looks awesome in the pilot! I don’t see why they need to change him in the actual first episode but I do love his new design in the show, it fits his nature and his goofy attitude One thing I noticed her is that in the Pilot, Sylvia used to be Afraid of Hatef but now in the first official episode, she isn’t feared by him anymore but rather taunting him a lot, I guess they needed to make Sylvia a little more Braver?

To be honest, I love her design in the Pilot and in the main series plus Sylvia is one of my favorite characters especially when she's there for Wander no matter what. She also makes me laugh especially when she taunted Hater and Peepers.😁👍🏻

I didn’t really know that, to be honest I never seen the pilot before but to agree with you: yeah I do like her current design in the show, I think she looks better that way But to be fairly honest: I’m really digging into Peepers first design in the pilot, his helmet looks shiny and cool!

En el piloto se ve que wander no es tan tonto/inoscente incluso viendo que es temerario cuando habla del peligro del cañon, el si quiere buscar la manera de hacer amigos como el wander final solo que con una pizca mas heroica siendo completamente conciente del peligro pero manipulando lo suficiente a odion en base a su orgullo

Dude the final version was way better. I'm just sad it got cut short. The final version still had so many more stories to tell like wanders past and such yet was canceled 😢

No one drops a pilot because it’s ”too good”. This pilot wasn’t ”dropped” anyway, only re-worked with minor character changes and more cost-effective animation. Note that cost-effective does not equal worse. The series is able to get even more ambitious than the pilot in certain episodes because the baseline requirements for producing an episode are lower. You wouldn’t need to render a 3D model every time Lord Hater’s ship is on screen. Generally, the series prioritizes iconic poses and compositions over intricate camera angles, which works fine for a stylized cartoon that leans more into comedy than action. Like PPG, most shots in WOY look good as still images, but - unlike PPG - WOY tends to have smoother character animation. Besides the animation, I personally prefer the new color palettes and the changes made to Sylvia (the lips look weird and her being a cowardly stick-in-the-mud who only stands up to the enemy at the last minute makes her unlikeable next to Wander).

О боже, я нереально рада изменениям! Дизайн Сильвии стал намного круче, пропало это излишнее душнильство, всё-таки давайте будем помнить что Сильвия не телохранительница Вондера, они лучшие друзья, и если бы вся их динамика основывалась только на том что она пытается его вразумить это были бы очень странные отношения и в крепкую дружбу верилось бы намного сложнее. Сильвия разумная, сильная, но при этом может себе позволить безбашенность и веселуху иногда даже похлеще Вондера -- это то что я в ней так люблю. Да и бандитское прошлое играет свою роль, несомненно. Немного показалось чужеродным когда в пилоте Хейтер угрожал Вондеру а Сильвия в этот момент ныкалась за деревом, а на моменте когда Сильвия швырнула в Вондера смятой бумагой я вообще офигела, очевидно в финальной версии она бы себе такого точно не позволила :"D В общем, классно что уделили больше внимания тому, что они всё-таки действительно бест баддис, а не две полярности с вечным недопониманием друг друга.
