Part 2 of this project. The air system leaks and issues were crazy that we had to overcome. It’s a pleasure to drive now. Just a few more kinks to work out before it leaves. • Wanderlodge rv airbag ... part 1

Scott you have amazing patience. I watch several vehicle mechanics channels. All of you display a great deal of patience. I lack that. I have learned to take my time and that helps a lot as well.

Nice that your local store is so helpful. Local relationships like that are pretty valuable. My local Napa treats me well and can be worth a few extra bucks here and there

I have had to make gaskets many times and you were fortunate that gasket was a simple wide surface instead of a complex multi cornered multi bolt hole thin border gasket for the top plate and center section on an old cars carburetor (didn’t have time to wait for a carb kit as it was registered to be in a local car show the next day and the kit I was sent was the wrong one). It took a while but I did get it done and it worked perfectly. Next was having to make a new cup for its accelerator pump which took 2 attempts before I got it right. It seems there aren’t many of us left who can still make our own gaskets and it’s up to us to teach others how to do it. Congrats and giving you my thanks to you on having the venue for teaching such skills before they are lost.

It’s kind of funny how a simple drain tub can be so invaluable and reassuring. I guess it is at times the simple things in life that can bring a smile .

Air compressor, hydraulic pump, and alternator are all in that hole on wanderlodges. I've had pump out, changing alternator this year. Nice tips on air compressor install, it's a really bad spot.

Four second rule works well - four seconds between you and the vehicle ahead - time to react safely in a vehicle that size.

When I was taught to drive motor coach (MCI/102") my trainer told me to check the mirrors to center yourself in the lane. There is no reference when you, the driver, is sitting in front of the front axel.

Left rear wheel on the paint is what I was taught. I've seen folks rubbing the curb with a 36 to 48 inch shoulder. I guess they normally drive a small car.

Scott, Thank you for the great videos of your work on the various busses. I expect that it has a lot to do with your previous life in photography and Kelly’s steady hand. By the way, I love to hear Kelly’s voice-over as she has a wonderful melodious voice. On another note, do you have any problems getting quality parts? That has become a very serious problem with new automobile parts necessitating the need to source new-old parts. Thanks again to you and Kelly and your son. Super job!

Orileys is where I buy as many parts as possible. Too many failures through the mail lately. Besides the convenience and speed, if it fails under warranty, Orileys are all over this country.

Do conversion busses include an inclinometer to show the degree of climb the bus is experiencing since it is not always obvious from the driver’s perspective?

28:06 The bus owner is flooring it deliberately messing up the road....look at the trenches his spinning tyres have made.I would charge him to have the section of road repaired.Scott will be glad when this customer is gone.
@BusGreaseMonkey2 жыл бұрын
That’s not his fault. The tag air pressure was not allowing enough weight on the drive tires causing them to loose traction

17:54 The owner of the bus who is driving should have 2 hands on the wheel and Scott had to remind him of the speed limit.The compressor repair took ages as the head was leaking and the brass fitting had been cross threaded but now it is properly sorted.The jake brakes can be repaired later this year..I think Scott was a bit uncomfortable being near this customer.
