This is our first of many videos we have planned focusing on the "in camp" aspects of overlanding.
In it we describe four ovens suitable for any overland journey.

We've cooked whole turkeys over the fire using the roasting pan method. It works great.

I use a Coleman oven. It works similar to the oven in your kitchen. It sits on top of your two burner stove, lightweight, folds flat and has a temperture gauge too.

Waypoint Overland We’ve seen those. One of these days we would like to try one out. They look very convenient.

So how do you get rid of 'grease' that comes when cooking things like' Bacon, steaks, chops"?

Bacon grease we save for frying other things, or drizzling over green beans. Other greases we put in a disposable container, let it set-up and solidify in the fridge, then throw it out when we get at a dumpster. The last thing you want to do is pour it on the ground. Even burying it will attract animals.

No, that's one we haven't tried yet. It looks like it would work well. Have you tried it?

I recently tried one. I think you need to practice using it. It tries to cook cornbread or cookies or whatever you are trying to bake faster on the bottom. I’m still playing with it but I think using a pan that you can flip over on it’s lid and cook the top side may be the way to go. There are KZfaq videos on it.
