Why I want to learn korean: -I love the culture -I wanna understand dramas without any subtitles -I wanna visit korea one day -I wanna understand korean songs more -And I just wanna learn a new language

Why I want to learn Korean -I like learning new stuff everyday -I want to extend my knowledge and vocabulary - I want to listen or watch k drama's/k pop without subtitles or English dubs -I love travelling, and travelling without difficulties with language barrier is a heavenly experience.

I will learn Korean, God willing, because they struggled to preserve their language during the Japanese occupation, and Korean culture was one of the most beautiful cultures I have read about, and because the whole world knows it and sings about it. Thank you for your strength and for preserving the spirit of the nation, the spirit of the word.

I Want to close my eyes and feel K-pop song with their lyrics.

I began learning Korean back in 2013 with TTMIK. I've been studying for 8 years, and I now live in Busan, working on TV, translating Korean Dramas to English, and as a radio host at a Korean Radio station. I literally owe my entire life to TTMIK. Everyone, never give up on your studies. Thank you TTMIK for everything you've done for me and so many others.

My friend was stationed in korea in the military so I went for two week. Learned a few words ahead of the trip, but it was killing me that I couldn’t have a full conversation. I wanted to thank and compliment people but I didn’t know how to say it properly. By the end of the trip i was feeling very home sick because I just felt so isolated because of the language barrier. The trip was still great! But I can’t help but think how much more fun it would’ve been if I could communicate with locals. I want to learn and go back sometime in the next couple of years.

I love how every comment is related to bts- but I’m learning because I like their culture and I want to travel there.

Why i want to learn Korean: 1- 95% BTS 2- 5% Learning a new language

I've been married to a Korean for 25 years having met her while stationed in Korea in the Army. I spent a year in Korea in 1994 and a year in 1998. We are going to visit Korea next month for the first time since we left in 1999. I know Hangul a little but don't understand what the words mean. I want to learn more phrases and sentences, at this point since I am already 61 years old and my wife speaks English well.

Well... A pretty good encouraging reason to learn korean is to watch k-dramas without subtitles. Looking forward to It!!

Why I want to learn Korean: I want to live or study in Korea when I’m older, and kpop and dramas lol

I first learned about Hangul and how it is featural and found it to be a wonderful and amazing writing system, especially how words are broken down into syllable blocks. Then I heard some Korean spoken and thought it was the most beautiful language I've ever heard. Both of these reasons made me want to learn the language properly and to make it my second language. I am very interested in linguistics and wish I had grown up learning Korean.

Love korean music and works love to understand it and sing along. Love the language

I just really love the way the language sounds. It's between French and Korean, but hangul is such a pretty writing system that the practicality of learning French is being overriden😂

I am not kpop fan at all, I am not kdramas fan. The reason I am learning korean is: I have loved a person who was korean, she has a beautiful smile and before she left my life I promised I would go to Korea, meet her, and learn korean. I have no other reason and its not necessary other reason, I am focused and determined, no matter what I will make it.

Honestly, I had a girlfriend who was Korean and spoke English very well. We would still hit the occasional language barriers, but she was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She had to move back and unfortunately we couldn't continue our relationship. While we were dating she told me stories and showed me pictures of South Korea and everything about the country seems incredible. I am only just starting to learn the language and we will probably never see each other again, but I know that one day when I visit Korea I want to be able to show the same love and respect she showed me. Around my house there is a store and there is a grandmother and grandfather who always try to Talk to me in English, I found out they are Korean , they are very caring towards me so I will love to return their generosity by being able to talk to them and put as much effort as they are doing to talk to me in English, the grandma told me that she will love to introduced me to her grandchildren which is such a great gesture given that I am Latina and we are taught from a very young age the importance of family and friends. Her grandchildren will come to study and she asked me to be friends with them and showed them the city, so given that I love their grandfathers I want to show them the city and helped them to get used to the new place, I was told that they also speak just a bit of English... that's why I want to learn Korean.

I enjoy Korean music, the way the language sounds and I'd like to understand it. Korean skincare is also pretty popular and known for being well made so I'd like to understand what i'm using a bit better
