Still, he still thinks that NATO will somehow hit and destroy all of Russian troops in Ukraine conventionally. I have no idea how they can do this. NATO has been doing a lot of targeting and trying to do this for 2 years already. Russia wants to avoid ww3, the US wants to start it, as it needs a re structuring of the world economic system.

NATO's collective angst and desperation derives from their implied decision to fight to the last Ukrainian. Now that we are approaching the moment of the 'last Ukrainian', NATO is faced with a situation they did not expect; What to do when the last Ukrainian is expended. This desperation is increasing the danger.

Those are not "peace talks", but absurd ultimatums, especially considering how the war is going for Ukraine. Actual peace talks took place back in march-april of 2022 and were signed by ukr delegation, but then fkn Boris Johnson came and talk ukr out of it, resulting in hundreds of thousands of casualties and much more lost land. Russia wanted only neutral ukraine with no fkn nato bases and so that kiev regime stopped war in Donbass that they've started in 2014. Only Crimea had to be recognized. Perfectly reasonable demands, but they chose war and blaming Russia for their own actions.

The criteria for Russia using a nuclear weapon, would require a massive incursion militarily into Russia, or an attack so monstrous and inexcusable, that it can only be classified as an act of blatant extermination, a genocide. Enough actions have been taken by Ukraine to move the Russians towards a more formal war-footing, in that this is evolving into a total war scenario with each reckless act of spite Ukrainian intelligence commits. For the time being, there are other options aside from nuclear weapons, that are on this chain of escalations. Even just with the FABs Russia has been using, these aren't even the biggest variants they have at their disposal. They've been dropping the lower yield bombs all this time to great effect, and they've been upgrading these larger payloads with the same glide fins. We're barely at the middle point in terms of what can be expected from Russia. They have a devastating weapon that the Ukrainians can't counter. Right now its just targeting positions with the lower yield variants. I wonder what the FAB 3000 or 5000 would do to a city outright? Who's going to continue fighting a war where the frontline is disintegrated on a daily basis?
@brolohalflemming7042
@brolohalflemming7042 Ай бұрын
A FAB-3000 is only 0.003 kiloton-equivalent, which puts nuclear and non-nuclear yields into context. There has been a lot of pressure over the last few years to consider the use of tactical nuclear weapons against hardened structures like Iran has. Normalising the use of nuclear weapons is a very bad idea however. Some factions still want to push the button and create a situation which can be seen to justify their use. Russia still has escalatory options remaining. Currently it is not war, but an SMO. If it becomes a war, Russias constitution would allow it to unleash more forces on Ukraine. I think there is also the risk of Russia escalating outside Ukraine, so for example Syria demands US forces leave Syria and then starts attacking US troops there. That would almost certainly trigger escalation and retaliation from the US given the forces in Syria are essentially a tripwire to provoke just such a response.
@alqaas1948
@alqaas1948 Ай бұрын
@@brolohalflemming7042 The United States is the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons offensively during an active conflict. U.S. nuclear doctrine permits the use of tactical nuclear weapons as part of a strategy to "escalate to deescalate." Several U.S. senators, such as Lindsey Graham, have made alarming statements justifying the potential use of nuclear weapons against adversaries like Iran. Some even believe that the U.S. could win a nuclear confrontation with Russia. These extreme views have unfortunately become quite prevalent, a stark contrast to the cautious attitudes of the Cold War era.

With Ukraine its oligarchs in place of superPACs and outside money flowing in through NGOs. Its how Ukraine's former government was toppled initially, and later well afterwards, how Zelensky even made it into politics at all through the patronage of an Oligarch that had extensive media presence in the country. But what if you are wrong? Wouldn't it be better to get rid of the lunatics in the west that are driving the madness car toward the cliff than worry about running off the cliff or not? I hope you are right, but it really seems that these lunatics either have a plan to survive and don't care about the rest of us or are just completely delusional, thinking that Russia will fold and be split up/subjugated. I don't see that happening. Even now, Ukraine is not facing total destruction if they just sue for peace. Yes, they will lose a large chunk of their nation. Yes, they owe a monstrous debt to the west, but if they wanted to stop it now, they might still have a nation. But listening to the western leaders about Russia, some of them are saying the quiet part out loud and saying Russia should be broken up. That pretty much sez, Russia cant lose or it will be destroyed as a nation.

I think we all agree that the Battle of England was lost to the Germans the day the Germans started attacking civilians in London. Ukraine has the same urge to always use their weapons against civilian Russians. With the new powers, Ukraine will kill more civilians, but we can also be sure that Ukraine will lose the war, and Ukrainian soldiers will be held responsible for their killing of civilians, as was the case with Germany.

The West never understood that this war is not about conquest but about the Russian people living in Ukraine. Crimea was annexed without conflict because they were already Russian. The most industrialized and richest part of Ukraine is in the Russian-speaking region. Zelensky spoke Russian and learned to speak Ukrainian to enter politics. Putin is a genius, a great statesman, he has improved the quality of life of Russians and fights to protect Russia's geopolitical and security space. My bet is... the four regions need to be fully annexed and Odessase, then the western Ukraine more linked to the Poles and Hungarians will be a landlocked and poor country.
