Youre not going to like the new update where the tornadoes are being significantly buffed with the F3 being able to pull 1.21G more.

You're correct Toast, the target designator symbol should appear around the target with just a radar lock. You shouldn't have to activate the missile for the symbol to appear around the target. The F3 definitely had that function in real life, like the F-14 and F-16 already have in game. Why Gaijin only lets it appear when you activate the missile for the F3, I'll never know. Its really annoying and I have bug reported it. Hope they fix it. I have played the F3 exclusively since the new update, and I find the radar reliability has improved slightly the last week or so, compared to the first week. Its still not great, but that first week was horrendous! It lost lock constantly, and most of the time, it couldn't even pick up a target. I have been able to get a decent amount of kills per match in the last week or so. The first week, I couldn't get hardly any kills. I use standard search mode mostly with the radar, as the PD mode is not very good, with only being head on. I am sure the F3 had PD all aspects in real life, so hopefully that will change soon.

I don't really know much but I'm pretty sure that TWS will auto track the first thing it sees up to its max range regardless if you lower the scope, and also the aim9 problem with it not appearing is also due to it auto slaving the random lock TWS had.

They really need to buff the acceleration, in real life this thing would not struggle to get to Mach 1.5 like it does in the game, also it can reach Mach 1.25 on the deck easily, in game it can’t pass like 1.15, and the wings need a buff as they break so easily for no reason

Aircraft that rely on they're BVR capability (because their flight performance sucks) will always be objectively worse options in War Thunder than aircraft that don't. Due to the simple fact that radar missiles can be defeated simply by flying at tree top level, or in this case simply by turning cold as the PD HDN mode won't track in rear aspect. Even IR missiles are a bit of a joke at the moment with how easy they're flared off. Simply put there is no realistic way you are going to take out an average skill opponent if he is simply aware of your presents and paying attention in these kinds of aircraft. And that is exactly why I haven't wasted my time grinding this thing out, even as awesome as the Tornado is I wasted it on the Kurnass 2000 instead.....

A mig should NOT be faster than a tornado on the deck in a straight line, this is kinda absurd...

Shame the tornado f3 is missing around 140kph on the deck it starts topping out around the 1400kph only thing that should be able to catch it at low level is the mig 29 and f16
