Why does the reforged looked like a mod for warcraft 3 in this video?

With significant improvements done on the units and spells, the contrast between heroes and the units, the ground and the units, friendly units and the enemies still need lots of work. In a sizable battle such as the one with the orcs, I lost sight of MK and paladin a couple of times, which just doesn’t happen in the old Warcraft 3 because of the size of heroes and of their glowing textures rendering them quite distinguished among all the units. With that being said, this is merely an early stage of a beta version, and i still think it looks very good and promising. For people who are still complaining, just take a good look at details on the loots from the creeps. Every single one of them has been refurbished and looks amazingly close to the ones in Diablo 3. Keep on the good works, Blizzard. I honestly do not care about the release date being delayed or what not.

the hair cut of the paladin is ridiculous, he looks like a marine, i dont understand this radical restyle, the original one was just perfect.

Was incredibly hyped for this. The models look fantastic up close, but from a top down perspective and with the ground textures and color complementation they used...idk. At a glance I could mistake it for og WC 3

I don't know. I liked the expressiveness and character of the old models and animations in the unit window. These just seem really stiff and kind of boring to be honest. For a kid me the fun animations were basically half the fun.

Terrain texture and lighting seem a bit off, in a melee game I would wish the colors are a bit more saturated too, and ogres are still the only creep species that has a sleep animation xD

They're really pushing that cartoony look. I dunno, the low-poly may have had something to do with it but the original models etc. felt more grounded and edgier than these do.

I dont get how anyone could dislike what blizz has done in Reforged. the Game looks great, and personally its nice to see different looks and new takes on some of our favorite characters. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Alot of people saying this need work. No sh!t. This isnt even alpha gameplay. This is data mined gameplay. What they will have on the floor at blizcon will be significantly further along, probably Beta around the corner and release in late December. (However I would say these leaks are intentional to build hype for Blizcon)

It looks nice but I think the units are far less individually distinctive. Looks like it's going to be harder to pick out Heroes in a crowd and distinguish between different creep types in general. I think part of it is that it looks a bit more muted in terms of colour?

Man AI needs a rework. They just stand there when you block their path and let you surround them. Good for noobs but "insane cpu" should be a bit more intuitive.

I'm all for the more 'realistic' approach, but they went too far with the Ogres.

I think it's a cool addition but I hope you can turn off the +XP pop up on every Hero whenever you gain XP. Could be really distracting in a big fight where lots of things die, for example against Necros with Mass Skelletons and I don't need this information. What I really love is the feature to make Health Bars the same as your color, so you and your opponent Health Bars have different colors. Also like the Hero Level number beneath the bars (can be turned on and off I know that, but not sure about the +XP)

So much work for the same thing. I don't feel its worth it. Has a "oh that kinda neat" effect which fades after 2 min and then its all the same tbh. I actually prefere the old version
