Basically the title is a little clickbait since this is no beta , expect the beta to drop in blizzcon with a different UI and maybe a different light to help with the colours of the characters since they are too much saturated

@@danielbarros7926 Oh right. I wish they could implement a slight unit model changing feature whenever we upgrade the unit like swords and armors n such.Or maybe randomized unit faces or different hero faces with same class that would be cool tho.

Tuguldur Sooyo they did add different faces/looks of the same hero class the paladin alone has like 8 variations although the alternates are mostly to make the campaign look better and every unit has a unique model now unlike the past where most units were just recollored versions of other units. You should check out the leaks.

@@alirezasaliani5165 But with the amount of effort required to remaster what is already there, I'm fine with them not doing that. Also, and this is probably the biggest reason it's an issue, is they want people to be able to switch between HD version and the original low poly version, even in MP. So new content only for HD would cause compatibility issues.

@@smhht why exactly? When mapmakers out there can make new factions so easily (and they do a really good job on that), i think blizzard can do it too. Idk maybe I'm expecting too much.

@@alirezasaliani5165 Because they need to concentrate on what is actually there and getting that right. It's a huge amount of work, especially with a game with very hardcore players who care a lot about the portrayal of individual units and how they are implemented for professional gaming. The amount of models in this game is insane. If you want them to add new races, they would have to create each asset in both low and high poly form, essentially doubling their workload for that alone, not to mention the amount of work that goes into balancing. We could potentially see some new stuff in the future, from both Blizzard and the community, but bear in mind that the work that would be required to make sure it's compatible (as well as the amount of work the models will need now because of their detail) may slow things down for modders.

alcatraz14 From the start they said they are using the same engine because they want people to be able to switch between HD and original quality WC3 at any point, even in multiplayer. All this criticism may be irrelevant at this point anyway, because this isn't even beta. It's a hacked unofficial version with a huge amount of missing or unfinished assets (Nightelf and Undead isn't available for example). Personally, I can see a lot of improvements, and didn't want it to diverge too far from the original's charm.
