Yeap, especially since they had models for the freaking orc warlocks.....So why use shamans when they had created orc warlocks as its own unit in the game as well? hopefully this will be fixed for Reforged and I think it will.

She was originally meant to be a boss in the raid. She was meant to be the first phase of the sisters of the moon fight. But it got changed before it came off ptr and Naisha just became a weekly raid mini boss world quest and the first phase boss got renamed. Also all the Maiev dialogue with her before the fight area starts got scrapped. Think they changed it all because peeps didn't want Naisha to randomly turn evil for no reason. But would have been a lot cooler making her a boss rather than a random world quest banshee.

And besides, 'turning evil for no reason' wouldn't have been the case. Spending so many years as a spirit in the tomb of one of the biggest sources of fel in Azeroth wasn't going to leave her sane. Her model not being a corrupted sentinel is a big disappointment though.

Nah most of the Voice acting in WoW is crap along with everything Else when compared to Warcraft III If there is ever going to be Warcraft IV (unlikely but anyway) I wish it would have most of the original voice actors and its lore should just wipe WoWs stupid events out of existance. Otherwise Blizzard can just shovel it where sun doesnt shine

The Legion abandon him in that timeline and he didn't get as cool of power as he does now in Legion xpac. Our Gul'dan was more dependent of others to do his bidding for him, as the alternate Gul'dan is more of a "darkness incarnate".

Yes but did you not see the entire lore behind his skull? After his death his skull held so much demonic energy that by itself it was able to open and close the the dark portal, and it made Illidan insanely powerful. This was his skull that granted these powers. I mean that is insane, he should have been able to one hit all of these mobs and Maiev's entire crew

For all we know he might have taken the bigger chunk of them before being wounded mortally. Also you have to consider that Illidan and his naga went through the tomb first and probably helped clear some of them away. Not to mention that Maiev and her crew didn't even get to fight all of the demons in the tomb, let alone kill them, since during the next mission where Maiev has to escape the tomb you see a lot of demons along the way that you have to dodge with Maiev's teleportation ability, so many of them were probably in different parts of the tomb.

Also, Gul'dan was alone. At least Maiev had backup.

Megawatt Apps gul'dan was also ambushed, unprepared for an encounter. He probebly Still slew them but later died from blood loss. Even the mighty Gul'dan cant stop death

He wasn't, the death of Medhiv, of Blackhand and the war between humans and orcs meant he had to hurry to claim the power of the tomb. Plus, it may not seem like it in WC3, but he's undoubtebly one of the strongest non-god/mortal beings that ever existed in the whole warcraft lore, so he probably died because of some nasty sneak attack. Fitting though as he was the biggest schemer of the whole first Horde.

in the previous expansion blizzard did something rather stupid ;] they make us travel back in time to experience an alternative timeline of past events, at the end of it the burning legion brought gul dan from that timeline into ours or something

Yeap looks most like a doomguard model....Im curious to see how he looks like in Reforged, although in my understanding it was not really Sargeras that really was in the tomb, atleast in actual flesh like that. I mean otherwise he could have just escaped and destroyed Azeroth :D... But the lore in regards of Sargeras after Medivh was killed (his spirit was in Medivh's body) is very hazy/complicated....I know that Medivh's mom trapped Sargeras body or "avatar" in that tomb, but other than that Im bit clueless about the whole thing

When Queen Azshara fell ..her kingdom were succumbed to the depths of the sea .thus along with it the HighBorn also fell and so they were cursed too .becoming Nagas of the deep sea ..ever loyal to their queen even at the bottom of the sea.

Correct, the Old Gods transformed Azshara and the other drowning Highborne into Naga. The other Highborne (mainly the ones who at the end of War of Ancients abandoned their Queen to try and help Night Elf resistance against Burning Legion) were later banished/chose to leave Kalimdor to the east and they ofc became High Elves of Quel'Thalas and later Blood Elves. Also lets not forget that some of the Highborne chose to be turned into Satyrs by the very first Satyr Xavius, who was the top advisor for Queen Azshara and was given new life as Satyr by Sargeras after Malfurion had first destroyed his night elf form. So The former Highborne became High Elves (later Blood Elves), Naga and Satyrs. And all of them (or atleast some of them) served Burning Legion either directly or indirectly later.

The horde took Skull after he died it end up with bonechewer clan chieftain with Ner'zhul took it from him.

@@Cyberlisk no there were surviving warlocks like Drak'thul and Twilight hammer clan. one warlock survived and found Gul'dan's body. the warlock ends up being killed by bonechewer clan chief who took skull as his trophy. Basically, the skull of Gul'dan end up being used by many characters including Deathwing, illidan, Ner'zhul etc. last time we seen skull was in TBC.

The Orcs that were forced to hunt him down came through here and took his skull... Then it went through many creatures until the Burning Legion claimed it as their own...

The orcs who Doomhammer sent to hunt down Gul'dan when he went off to seek Tomb of Sargeras retreived his skull....it then eventually ended up to orc Death Knight Teron Gorefiend who gave the skull to Ner'zhul in aftermath of 2nd war, and Ner'zhul then used the skull to open the portals in Draenor....how exactly the skull then eventually ended up in hands of Burning Legion to corrupt forests of Ashenvale in WC3 im not sure of, cause the last we saw the skull in Warcraft II was when Khadgar used it to close the portal to Azeroth from Draenor at the end of events of "Beyond the Dark Portal. So anyhow to that point its quite logical where the skull was, but you need to understand bit more about the background lore/read the books based on events of Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal, because back when those games were created, the background lore/story was still barely born....but the books based on those games that were written some 10 years ago shed much more light to those events.

@@Balnazzardi if I'm not mistaken the Skull went to the hands of the Kirin Tor (Khadgar may have brought it there before he closed the Dark Portal) and Tichondrius took it from them and used it to corrupt Felwood

@@CIAinTaiwanAndUkraine well doesnt make sense cause Khadgar used the skull from Draenor's side to close the portal....so in all sense the sku should have been with him in Draenor after he used it to close the portal between Azeroth and Draenor (aka Outland) and as we know that portal didnt open again until in WoW:TBC

that's a little hard to tell, like everywhere there is no real good or bad.. well, I guess at least we can say that Gul'dan is one of the greatest bad guys of the Warcraft-universe, searching for power to destroy his enemies, don't even bother to use demonic energy for doing so.. so I thank he can easily called "bad" ;) Then there is Illidan, who might has different motives for his actions. In the first place he is in the tomb to get the Eye of Sargeras, so he could use it to destroy the Lich King later. One could say that's a good thing to do, because the Lich King clearly is another "bad guy". But then again, Illidan doesn't really care for how much collateral damage this causes, as it would tear apart the world (at least a little bit) - you may watch the videos about this later level of the Night Elf campain, it's better explained there. And on the other hand he doesn't try to stop the Lich King because he is a "good guy" and wants to save the world, but to avenge his new master, Kil'jaeden - it's actually not too clear at this point, if he at least partly still cares for what happens to Azeroth and the Night Elves, or if he only wants to retain more power at all cost. What's clear to say, however, is that he still loves Tyrande and would do everything to protect her. For Maiev and the Wardens, on the other hand, he has clearly no sympathy - understandably, though, as they were the ones to keep him in an isolated prison for hundreds of years. So, Illidan is one of the most complex characters and you could never really say if he was "good" or "bad" - I would say he tried to do good things by using bad methods, which corrupted him. And Maiev.. well, she obviously cares for her fellow Wardens and most of the other Night Elves - maybe except for Tyrande, as it was her who freed Illidan. She tries to protect her people at all cost and her main goal is to put Illidan back to jail, hunt him to the end of the world, if she had to. So you could say it's a good thing that she tries to do her duty and to catch this thread to the world, but then again she is very obsessive with her hunt, not willing to do any compromises that could stray from the Night Elf jurisdiction that she is bound to. Later you can see her lie about Tyrande's fate to Malfurion, saying she is dead when she maybe isn't, just to give him time to help her catching Illidan (because if he knew she was still alive, he would've searched for her, instead). And even later, when they find out that Illidan didn't want to destroy the world but kill the Lich King, and when he saved Tyrande - which caused Malfurion to spare his life - Maiev would be too fanatic with her hunt for Illidan to listen to Malfurion, who would let Illidan go. So she follows him into the portal to Draenor to continue her hunt. So while trying to do good things, she may be too obsessed and too bigoted to see that she kinda became a mirror image to the one she was hunting; like him she would do anything and sacrifice everything just to achieve her goal. But that's the great thing about the Warcraft characters - they are not good or bad, not onedimensional. Like real people, they all have their reasons for whatever they are doing and so you can relate to their point of view. But if you really want to understand these characters, I would suggest you to watch all the videos about them, not just this one. And best would be, of course, if you'd play the game yourself or read the novels.

What do you mean by that? In Warcraft Sargeras and his Burning Legion are considered to be the "ultimate evil" cause they want completely wipe out all life and add all the power/energy of the different worlds to their own. Gul'dan however is little better.....he willingly became a "pawn" for the Burning Legion in their efforts to corrupt the orcs to wipe out Draenei in Draenor, because Gul'dan didnt care anything about anyone but himself and his own lust for power. In Warcraft universe he is considered to be the worst of the orcs.
