For first case was colostomy a better option compared to ileostomy? (Coz of fluid nd electrolyte loss?)

Right, a diversion loop sigmoid colostomy would have been a better option.

It's not easy to do colostomy in a case which is emergency. The sutures won't hold on large bowel because of relatively poor vasculature compared to small bowel. Hence always operate on small bowel in emergencies if both options are available.
