My longest video, yet.
I would not have thought to spend over days, just to make a 14minute, near 15mimute video of me explaining an arcane used by only melees...or so you thought.
This arcane aka Melee Afflictions is now home to the most broken melee arcane the game could ever produce, and some of the most experiment-worthy arcane the game has ever introduced. Who could've thought that this little "+6 additional status to someone who is lifted, knocked down and ragdolled" can be this broken.
But how broken it is? You had to watch the whole video to find it out.
Also, this is the very first episode of me doing deep explanations on one thing, which I coined it "Explained | by Amolistic", if there is any time I did such thing, it will be in the playlist that named like what I said.

Hope you all really enjoy this video, and the opening series of ["Explained" | by Amolistic.] ! I spend tons of time making this video, and it is seriously challenging to document nearly all the perks of this arcane, to properly showcase the true potential of this arcane. If you really like what I do, feel free to like and sub, any kinds of support is greatly appreciated :) ***If there is anything you would like to point out or correct me on something, feel free to comment, will try my best to fit into this pinned comment.*** Note 1: from @TiredDoktor6391 - Melee afflictions takes that damage value of all your procs (existing or applying), multiplies them by their remaining status duration and combines them. Then it will take that number and devided it by the status duration, then applies this proc 6 times. Note 2: from @Karmagasm - (with slight change) if melee attack is a forced form of ragdoll/knockdown, melee affliction will still apply the extra stacks even if the target didn't get the animations to indicate that it was afflicted by those conditionals, ie it still works against overguarded eximus units/demolists/acolytes.

My favorite is Sampotes as it does fling +fling + fling. It breaks the game and leaves enemy corpses floating in the air. Edit: Plus saryn toxin lash for millions of damage without roar or any other buff.

One thing that might answer your questions Melee afflictions takes that damage value of all your procs (existing or applying), multiplies them by their remaining status duration and combines them. Then it will take that number and devided it by the status duration, then applies this proc 6 times. This should explain why it will have exponential scaling beacuse everytime it triggers, it does this to all the procs.

@@devar7502 you can get -status duration on rivens; the wiki says that a negative status duration won't apply their DoT/debuff at all, so that probably won't work. Without doing any testing, the farthest you can push this would be getting -99% status duration and using it to dupe electricity procs(which deal a tick of damage when they're applied, instead of having to wait for the next status tick to deal damage). Provided TierdDoktor's formula is accurate, with just the continuous misery mod (+100% status duration to rifles) and no rifle riven, you're looking at 12(6 second duration doubled by continuous misery)/.06(status duration of the melee with -99% status dur)=200x the damage of the base electricity tick. This assumes that the status is still at full duration, which is perhaps a bit impractical, but a more realistic 90% efficiency still allows you to hit 180x the base proc's damage. This won't work with heat as it doesn't deal damage on tick 0(the tick that the status is applied) so with heat, you'd need at least 1s of duration on your melee limiting just how high you can push the numbers. Also, if you theoretically hit the jackpot on a riven that gave -99.99% status duration (provided a duration so low isn't just truncated to flat 0), you'd be dealing 18,000 times the damage of the original proc. I'd like to stress that I have not tested this in game, so all of this could be completely wrong or just impossible to achieve due to something I didn't account for, but if anyone wishes to do some testing, best of luck!

Roar also double dips on DoT effects since it's faction damage. So everytime the arcane applies, the double dip seems to be transfered as well, and since it's a new status effect then the faction damage mod will apply again. That's how I understand it, because it's the only way something can actually scale infinitely. You don't even need Roar or being Rhino basically, you need strong status effects from any weapon (even the melee itself will do) and a faction mod.

Arcane afflictions made gram prime great again. I've been testing melee afflictions with gram prime using a gas crit status build and it was killing level 200+ SP corrupted enemies with ease. I've found out the best stance for this build was rending crane standing combo since the combo only has 2 inputs with a guaranteed knockdown, it's fast, has a high damage multiplier, and doesn't throw you forward like other heavy blade combos

It should be noted that if your melee attack is a *forced* form of lifted/ragdoll/knockdown melee affliction will still apply the extra stacks even if the target didn't get the animations to indicate that it was afflicted by those conditionals, ie it still works against overguarded eximus units.

Ye, I accidentally found it out as well after this video (doing testing), lifted afaik does not work but ragdoll and knockdowns work.

Tenet Exec shockwaves can proc the arcane multiple times (force ragdoll) on a single slam. It's insane. Only problem is that the waves cannot proc status by themselves. Works great on a hybrid build with Tennokai, and as hyper Sickening Pulse for some warframe elemental abilities.

Exec with saryn 3 and this arcane is so stupidly op. I was able to one-shot steel path enemies without any additional mods on the exec

Rhino some how became one of the best melee warframe because of those arcane and un-nerf roar. Even some frame intent to focus on melee are not as good as Rhino. Yeah, that is Rhino. Like everything work on him.

Melee Affliction Harmony Heavy Attack with Yareli Sea Snares and Aquablade's Slash procs makes enemies evaporate. The procs from the abilities plus Harmony's innate Heat. Even though Sea Snares isn't procing Melee Afflication, Harmony is still "ragdolling" the target. Fun to watch.

Yes, because it carries over the damage dealt, including the slash proc from aquablades as well, like what I mentioned in the video. I am glad that you are entertained by the result you get. *Ragdoll and knockdown seems to work at all times, regardless of it being applied or not.

Melee Duplicate the rarest (until jade shadows) melee arcane is also arguably the worst as it "only" doubles your damage when dealing specifically a yellow crit. While we have absolutely broken arcanes like influence and now this

The double hit can apply orange crits as well, thus you want to yellow crit and that hit to orange crit for max damage, some calculated that the best threshold for it is around the near-middle of 130-150% crit.

you can put faction mods as well, it still works, though the ramping speed will be different.

From what I heard after this video, forced knockdowns seem to have a bug where it will just work even though they can't be knockdown'd.

So you're telling me that using Chroma Toxin aura, with Harmony and Aflictions, and using 5 tau greens for toxin status damage, i can basically oneshot anything at any level?

You could try, but I suspect that it will take 2 or 3 hits to ramp up the toxin proc for harmony to expedite it and kill any level.

I came from the same country that uncle Roger comes from (Malaysia). Malaysians have an extremely identifiable accent (If you hear a lot), due to the culture of Malaysia where you will have Malays, indians, Chinese, and more.
