You’ve unlocked a part of my brain I didn’t know I had nor needed to appease. This is my endgame now; farmaxing.

A few extra things: Smeeta buff lasts 156 seconds with tek enhance and can stack multiple times, being roughly a 27% average boost (if my maths is right) before taking into account stacking, which wasn't mentioned Fissures, as mentioned in another comment provide even more boosters FInally, double resource weekends sometimes happen in case all this wasn't enough Also spawns are much lower on star chart than steel path, which explains the massive difference between runs

Back in the day, I used to grind Draco, Ceres for leveling and Syndicate rep. Any vets remember that? Max strength 3 spam Excal, Frost to keep everyone peachy in a bubble, Rhino/Speeva to make things die faster, and EV Trinity to keep up energy. I'm swimming in Orokin Cells still from all of those hours in that mission lol.

I have an ungodly amount of hours into this game and know all of this already, but the presentation and humor + information is top tier. Great job, sub.

Cute video but here's how to get more. When u open a relic in an endless missions u get a perma buff till the end of the mission 25% extra creds, affinity, drop chance and drops. (And a relic at every 5th) this caps at 100% extra meaning 100% extra loot chance with 100% extra per pickup. This stacks with everything else and on steelpath is the optimal way to farm. And it even buffs steel essence. Have fun

Imagine doing Grofit Taker on extra credit weekends, while a fracture is happening using Chroma, with a credit booster.

Small thing to note about the difference in cells gained is that normal starchart missions scale enemy spawn rate with the number of players, but steel path always uses 4 player spawn rate. Also that more eximus units spawn in steel path which generally have a better drop chance for rare resources. It's advisable to run for as long as you can because eximus spawns ramp up in frequency capping out at around the 20-30 minute mark.

Couple tips: Do Fissues when possible, relics are extra loot and give drop chances the longer you go. Drop Charms stack. So if you already have a drop charm active and see the timer refresh while still active, it’ll actually be x4 Drops until that timer fully runs. Theoretically, this can loop forever with enough rng. But you’d be lucky capping at x8 drops (3 Charms).

I think what caused the massive difference was the enemy density. In survival missions, more enemies will be present in a full squad, which means more drops. Moreover, Steel Path opens a freaking floodgate of enemies and they start crawling out of the walls in waves. That said, I think this might've been the non-calculated part of the formula, understandably so, might I add.

I had a Resource Booster + Blessing doing SP Gabbi with Khora w/augment and Smeeta for 45min and got 40 alone

another thing to consider is that smeeta kavats can give you 2 minutes of double affinity & resources, multiplicatively stacking with itself and other boosters, so at 2 buffs from it you would have 8x resources for a short time i saw in an old video you could kill an acolyte and wait like 30m to pick up the steel essence (before they made it despawn) when you had perfect smeeta buffs and get like 64 essence from every pickup

Helene on Saturn is another top candidate for Orokin cells, it’s a small defense mission like Hydron. I’ve gotten 15 cells in a 14 minute mission at times

So, the boss on Deimos has a chance per part kill to drop, the fight and mission itself is about 2 - 4 minutes spawn depending. Can get up to 16 drops a run without crazy smeeta stack ups, no crazy setup needed, bring a volt, kill each part, maybe get 3 (6 with booster 12 with sneerer active) from top floor then a chance of another 1 (2 booster 4 smeeter) from the down stairs part, run to exit repeat. With crazy smeeter luck you can get upwards of 20+ from this mission within 1-4 minutes. And that’s just the normal node, steel path node might get crazier than that. With crazy smeeter, from 1 part kill I got 8 cells a couple times with 16 cells only the once. (that’s just 1 part jill of 4 kills) Like I said, no crazy set up just booster, blessing, smeeta and a volt.

A couple improvements which would have made this faster: 1) do it at the end of a dead-end hallway so you can optimize positioning of frames 2) include a speed nova into the team comp 3) place the nova and ivara in stealth arrow bubble either on top of the door or beside the door at the end of the hallway such that nova's speed bubble goes outside and ivara pickpockets before enemies walk inside the room/before they reach kraken 4) have nekros host, play on minimum settings, and stare at the wall such that they get the maximum FPS possible since game spawns increase with FPS 4) play with 4 players to increase spawn rate. It wouldn't be a huge upgrade but if we're truly min maxing loot farming

The main reason its higher than expected is that the steel path resource drop chance is a 100% and then you can say its a 2x multiplier, along with the paid resource drop chance another 2x now we have 4x plus the others which may not factor the same way, like ivaras base +1 drop or smeeta kavat rare drop, or salvage activating off of teammates youd probably look at ~7x the amount of orokin cells without factoring in the double resource gain from smeeta or paid booster. Meaning that the expected total of 10x is more like a 44x multiplier with all the stacking going on.

Orokin Cells/amount of kills would be a better measurement than time I think, great video!

For those who don't have, want or like smeeta kavats, you can also run with Self Destruct on your sentinel. This makes it so when your sentinel dies, it also has a guaranteed chance to drop a rare resource from the planet you're on. This used to be almost totally useless, since it only worked once per life, but after the pet rework, there are two important factors: firstly, mods like vacuum and animal instinct still function while your pet is dead, and secondly, pets can now revive themselves as many times as they went in a mission. With that in mind, you want to build your sentinel to be an aggressive glass cannon: ignore health and armor, but give it a fast weapon like the deth machine, so that it draws enemy fire frequently, and then maximize his revive speed, so that he picks himself back up frequently. Then you'll have your own little loot pinata!

different enemies have different droprates for things, which is why theres not a blanket droprate for a given resource for a planet (ancients more likely to drop rares than chargers etc)

ngl I didn’t expect a looting tutorial with this kind of title That’s great for new players.

Like 3 years ago it was a some 2x resources blessing from the game itself. So i bought 2x booster and prepared my smita for a long ride of Saturn extermination with my limbo who breaks all containers. It was highest 48 orokin cells per mission within 15 minutes. There were some unlucky runs with 6-10 orokin cells, but it was enough to get me like 500 cells in like 5-6 hours

By the way, Nekros can technically boost the resource gain further by equipping Ripkas with its Amalgam mod that give 100% Gore Chance. That chance is applied universally to all the weapons so you can cut down more enemies to bits AND those bits will actively count as a corpse, effectively doubling the amount you gain.

Couple of thing you could do to improve this : 1. Get a 4th player more player equal more enemy spawn 4th player could be any frame but a speed nova is the best here 2.instead of using hydroid use a khora with medium size cage and a god busted primary statstick built for slash this will dismember enemy and group them in a single place 3. Have 2 nekros instead of only one desecrate has some weird interaction were sometime it will not work or too many bodies causing it effect to not be fast enough and body start to disapear with getting desecrated , a 2nd nekros solve this problem and sometime both desecrete will target and occur on the same body practically doubling the loot chance of that corpse but this is very rare and not an intended interaction So the perfect team would be : speednova , khora , 2 nekros

12:12 mfw blud got "tumor cells" 💀 The 1 Orokin Cell in 35 minutes seems quite unlucky. I remember levelling my frames at early MR on Helene, Saturn, non-SP, no boosters, and I was getting on average like 2 cells per mission, with most missions being 10-15 minutes, so I'd say the average drop rate with no boosters should be about 10 per hour, easily, and it should get much better with higher mob density, i.e. above level 21-26 that Helene has, and in a Survival instead of Defense mission type.

Atlas oregaze has the big upside of having the interaction with necros of causing the petrified enemies to always count as bisected for desecrate. And I think pilfer still procs on the non grabbed petrified enemies the ability spawned under, Ive seen enemies explode into 6 hp and energy pickups

It only takes around 1,500 Orokin Cells to craft everything requiring them. I have 4k and counting so im good. Also, with this strategy, I'd be farming Thrax Plasm or Lua Thrax Plasm for Arcanes to flip or dissolve.

damn, the name of this video alone, gave me flashbacks to my old farming days before the 2. dream came out, and the hardcore party farming me and a few others did to max out a mountain clan, with only 6 ppl^^ Oh the spreadsheets and min maxing we did back in those days to power farm so much that we never would need to farm again^^ (oh and the damn degradable materials where the most hated thing we ever encountered). Atleast we farmed enough Law of Retrebution and the nightmare version (LoRNM) raids that we had so much duplicated arcanes, that we could give them out willy nilly to clan members^^ Did you know you only actualy needed 3 competent members to do LoRNM, it was an AMAZING farm to do if you had a group ready to farm the shit out of it, especialy for cells and credits

Turns out i needed this because i am building hildryn/ nikana prime.

For Orokin cells, my (personal) way to go is either Cambion Drift (some infested can drop) and Exta in Ceres (1-2 cells per "orokin cage")

I clicked because I saw Ivara. Such an underrated utility frame that can do errythang. If you’re needing toroids she’s always the go to.

btw guys you can get around 2-4x these rates with a min maxed speed container frame like helminth speed xaku and just nuking contains doing fast capture missions. 2-4 rates depending on good u are at parkour and well you know the tilesets. tbh tho as a maxed vet i would probably recommend you just farm for something else on a orokin cell tileset like arcanes or events with both boosters and maybe nekros. thats how vets have 1000s. grinding a r5 common arcane from an orokin tileset event got me like at least 300 passively.

Yeah, once you get to the prime grind, your Orokin cell supply will start to dissipate. And for some reason, you can purchase a reusable blueprint with platinum to craft Orokin Cells, at the cost of a lot of resources. 8:48 Is that Spiral Knights music I hear? Amazing to hear it in the wild.

Oh also if you get a relic mission steel path on gabi you can get essentially another booster for the whole mission
