The designation sounds like a broadcast radio station name. Annoying DJ species? The armsman's opening quote would then be that much more valid. "One-oh-one-nine-eight-ARR-KAY! Ex marks the spot! Good morning, space Vietnam - now you've been warned, so stay away!" Yes, the landing and approach of the intro Rogue Trader anecdote is reminiscent of the Nostromo crew's discovery of the crashed E.T. spacecraft in Alien. Mixed with Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth. These sound similar to de-evolved neanderthal or primate-like creatures. 40K Morlocks. By the point in this video when you've Narrated the planet's secret to these beings, GDN...I swear by the Golden Throne, I didn't read any Mechanicus reports on X-10198.RK beforehand. The mystery as to the backstory of this xenos culture is as interesting as the naming of their kind making sense upon considering which organization of the Imperium encountered and recorded them. "RK" means...initials for "rabid killers"? I appreciate the variety, and enigma that this species provides to 40k's bestiary...even partially-sentient, line-up. With gratitude as usual, GDN. Yeah it is sad but it could be even worse that the very creatures you kill to keep alive on that planet you become them knowing you going to do the same thing as they did and living day by day knowing that

Perfect punishment for members of the Adeptus Mechanicus that commit high crimes: permanent exile to this world after surgical alteration to restore their flesh. Fully cognizant and aware of what will happen to their vaunted intellect, should they survive the hostiles.

So...not understanding their own technology is not unique to the Mechanicus, then? Maybe the AM hate these creatures because they recognise themselves in them?

The thing about 40k is its vastness, I mean Romans are ancient history to us, but when they went to Egypt the pyramids were ancient things, the funny thing is when the pyramids were being built the first pharaohs were already ancient stories... and all of that sums up like 7000 years ago... Horus heresy happen 10k before 40k, if it was now this was like when people started domestication of plants... and then the galaxy has like couple of billions of stars in it, and cherry on top we also have the warp to mess things up one more level... literary any story cam happen in 40k, I mean you can have a little women story happening in 40k universe and it will be at home with no problem... this shipwreck and what happened to them, many years ago I red a novel from Stanislaw Lem " the Invincible " with loosely similar things happening to the people in it... if they were aliens they could be these folk, as easy as that, 40k is amazing...

Huh.... Isn't this almost the same thing as another video you've previously done, where a degenerated human (?) crew were going over and over the same ritual of trying to maintain a crashed ship? 😂 This sounds too familiar but I can't place the reference.

You mean the shadowkith? Those were humans and these are xenos. Unless you're referring to something else.
