Given the relative simplicity of Enslavers in comparison to the other denizens of the warp, one could come to consider them beeing the 'ancestry'. Like parasitic lifeforms in the materium, if that makes any sense.

The best part of this from a horror perspective is the bit about the enslaved working subconsciously to further the enslaver goal.

The sadly out of print limited edition novel "Astorath Angel of Mercy" actually has the enslavers as the main antagonists and it includes a few brief bits from their point of view. Basicly they generally avoid Demons and seem to view them negatively. They are able to avoid detection by creating bubbles of reality around themselves, and the bubbles grow stronger when three Enslavers are together forming a triad.
