Relictors like most successors chapters have their own culture or beliefs in how the Codex should be followed. I myself have studied the Codex in great detail, and have come to my own interpretation of how I conduct myself in combat. So no surprise that the Relictors have their own belief, however I do not believe they should use Chaos weapons without the blessings of the Inquisition. I have a good view of the Relictors because they saved my life long ago, but if they continue to use these Chaos relics, then I, Inquisitor Garza will be force to destroy this proud chapter, whom once I cherish their company. So with a heavy heart I will do my duty loyal imperial citizen, as I always done, Ave Imperator.

Aren't Relictors Dark Angeles successors? Conclave is similar to Inner Circle and there is short story where that named DA chaplain did give them Chaos artifact in case which can only open DA or their successors and Relictors could open it...

Might be some canon conflict. I don't think I read of them being DA successors though.

Description of audio book Rage of Asmodai: "Captain Vidarna of the Relictors leads a squad of his brothers in pursuit of a dark artefact on a world riven by heresy. But the appearance of Chaplain Asmodai of the Dark Angels changes his mission. The Dark Angel claims to have the relic they seek - but to claim it, the Relictors need to aid him in capturing the leader of the rebellion, a mysterious black-armoured Space Marine whose armour bears symbols similar to that of the Dark Angels themselves." This is 25 Min audio drama published in 2017. More detail from it:"That they are descended from the Dark Angels is now seeming more likely, as Chaplain Asmodai made a deal with a Relictors Captain to capture a member of the Black Legion in exchange for an artefact of unknown provenance, which was "rightfully" Asmodai's to give, and was "rightfully" the Relictor Captain's to protect, and was kept in a locked box until the mission was completed. After capturing the traitor, Asmodai lived up to his end of the bargain and told the Relictor that the box was keyed to specific genetic markers and would open for the captain just as it would for the Dark Angel. Not quite an explicit confirmation of the Relictor's origins, but certainly an implicit one."

Anyway, I have planned building force of them for long and after some mini swamps etc I have almoust enough for battalion of 2500 pts. Only need like box of new Chaos termies for Knights, I got their other bits from that swamp, chaos termies sorceror for termie libby con version and box scouts. And scratchbuilding cardboard Proteus landraider. With chaos mutations, as if Relictors use Chaos artifacts, then they could as Well use Chaos Relic vehicle...

Brother Techmarine Torqhuil, used daemonic possessed blade against Grey Knights Combat Squad. "The seals and blessed ointments within and adorning the Techmarine’s power armour prevented the force flooding him with its corruption but the daemon weapon still managed to feed off the Space Marine’s hate and desire for vengeance. The blade’s wicked form changed, seemingly shaping itself to represent the dark thoughts of its wielder. From a relatively straight, short and thin blade the sword bled aged metal and rust into reality, morphing into a devastating weapon - as tall as the Space Marine himself, with a curved, flat, single-edged blade, more like a scimitar or falchion. Its dull edge grew twisted and knobbly like a contorted spine. From it sprouted thorny spikes and spines running down its length and onto a rusted, daemonic skull that performed the function of a pommel and counterweight..."

they are interesting and kind of like the Blood Ravens but these guys take Chaos weapons. I as a Rouge Trader(RP) have my own Xenos weapon hanging on a trophy plague a Ork Shoota. that weapon I taken from a Big Boy during my service as a Guardsman.
