I love the mateship and sportsmanship that you always show on your channel. Its never a cocky "you cant do that" but co-operating with your opponent to have a fun game. We all forget rules at times, congratulations on doing it right!

Upon checking the HE army book after the game, my opponent and I are aware that the Ellyrian Reavers don't have the Skirmish special rule. Thankfully it didn't impact the game much, but we'll get it next time! Also, apologies for the background noise in HE turn 3. My little boy was not super stoked that he couldn't hang with his dad and made his feelings known!

Loved the unit of clansmen just being befuddled by the skirmishing elves for the whole battle “They’re over there! Wheel! Ach, how did they get behind us?!”

I've not watched this video yet, but I do love this channel for its Warhammer Fantasy content, that the host is always fun and entertaining to watch, and again, Warhammer Fantasy 😀

This has really hit my nostalgia for WHB. Few things I remember, which is how often WFB 6th ed games used the full 4-6 turns of the battle. I play a bit of AOS now, and that will often be basically wound up by start of turn 4. Also how refreshing it is that an army sort of feels like an army. Most guys have one wound and you win by chasing down fleeing units

Great battle report thanks for spending the time to film, edit and upload this. Just a small note... All charges must be declared at the same time. So you can't resolve 2 charges then declare another charge.

High elf archmage can't have both jewel of dusk and silver wand, since they are both arcane items.

Great report! Really surprised he didn't choose to wipe out the warriors with the Reavers rather than chase after the neutered Organ Gun crew. Really missed an opportunity there.

21:30 You do not get to check range before deciding to dispel or not. If you dispelled a spell but find it was not in range anyway, tough. So your original play was valid.

Loved the batrep, guys. Those High Elves looked and felt like a Warhammer 5th Edition army, with the OG shields on the skirmishers, the classic models and the illegal but cool looking skirmish Ellyrian light cavalry. The greed of the dwarves was their doom once again, because if you had the Organ Canon protecting one of the flanks you could just autohit the skimirshers or the cavalry and won that flank. But you wanted to blow a whole infantry unit from the table in high explosive greatness, didn't you? I respect that, as a skaven player myself. Good Lore of Metal trickery from the elves, too, really enjoyable.

Nice Game! Love the content on your channel. You don't take a panic test if the destroyed unit is outnumbered by the unit in question. Quote " No test is needed if the unit outnumbers its destroyed friends, in the same way as described for point 1."BRB P. 80 #4

Love to see it. EDIT: A few minor rule errors, but please don't take this as criticism. If you don't like that kind of stuff just ignore it. Ellyrian Reavers are walking around like skirmishers. Fast Cavalry is not the same thing and the Reavers are not both. Fast Cavalry, while they can reform without costing (extra) movement, still do form up in ranks and have a front arc (though this essentially only constricts their charge arc). This also means fast cavalry deny rank bonus if they're in your flank. Ward saves are in addition to armor saves. If you have both, you get both. (It's why they're so expensive to get.) Dispelling attempts also happen before the spells are resolved. i.e., before ranges are measured. Just like a charge, you have to decide on your response before you know whether they are in range or not. Friendly units must end their movement/deployment 1" apart from one another. This includes war machines. Unless I missed it or a valiant rune, the cannon crew should have taken a panic test (and highly likely succeeded) at the end of elf shooting phase 1 & 2. Great Eagles have a unit strength of 3 and so would outnumber a crew of 2 dwarfs. Stand & shoot should resolve after measuring, as you automatically miss if the charging unit is within half their charge range of the shooting unit.

Great battle report like always! One thing, in the shooting phase all the shots must be declarated at the beginning. That rule is very tactic and dont allow shoot units until to make a panic test. I love your channel, i cant wait the next battle!!

53:00 The Grudgeslinger Crew should have tested on their Unmodified Morale as I understand Dwarven Guncrews are Unyielding. The dwarves would have passed and not fled. 1:03:00 There would have been no panic test as the gun crew consisted of only a single model. Killing a model with less than 5 life points does not cause panic. In addition, the organ cannon could have repeated the test. The army standard bearer was nearby.

Hi Mate, loving the Channel!! I'm also Brisbane based and have around 5000 points of fully painted Vampire Counts along with 3500 of fully painted Brettonians, would love to come on the channel as just getting back in the swing. Just one rules moment I noticed, when the Thunderers fled from the charge of the Shadow Warriors I believe they need to flee directly away from the charging unit meaning your Warriors wouldn't take a panic check but also then freeing up your Warriors to then charge the Shadow Warriors in your turn.

That goblin contract solicitor needs to get fired! I knew those Slayers would save the day with their out of the ordinary chubby yet fast little legs; didn't expect the collapse of the left flank though. As always, really appreciate mateship and sportsmanship (as ian james already commented) on this channel. Cheers!

Great battle report as ever. Just an observation, why didn't Jared move the chariot in the second turn and then charge up the flank of the slayers in the third? The fight would have gone differently.

Ah this was juicy, gorgeous armies, unpredictable moments, loved it. Inflexible pride, bitter grudges, over a few measly gold and copper coins .. but points must be made, there are no such things as trivial matters where money is concerned, money pride and agreeing with the neighbours. This is just the kind of minutia that gets the wrong attention, somewhere in the chaotic realms the grand feathered manipulator probably observes these insignificant moments and the potential future possibilities, notes them in the ever shifting pages of lore, building a catalog of disputes and disagreements for exploitation, threads of a tapestry in readiness for incursions arcross the olde world. Sneaky, filthy, devious chaos.

Reroll the organ Crews panic test with the bsb

there is an error in the army list of High Elves, you cannot have more than one arcane item per character. And in general not more than one magic item of the same type per character, so only one magic armor type, one magic armor type, one arcane type, etc..

Good day my friend, and fellow gamer. I just have to say that I appreciate your channel, and sportsmanship during game play. I have myself been playing Warhammer fantasy since 1991, and find 6th edition to be my favorite. Thus said, I just wanted to bring to your attention a couple of things that I noticed that you may have missed. First off, bolt throwers do damage to multiple ranks, not just the first rank, and if they are HE bolt throwers, they only have 4 shots, at str 4, or 1 str 5 shot. I'm not some rule monger, I just want you to get the most from the game. The other thing, is that you cannot march move, when you're within 8 inches of your enemy, as was the case in your Skaven game, when your Gutter Runners were in the back field, and you march moved your Clan Warriors(I believe) towards the Skaven unit on that side. One more thing, I believe only the front rank of gunners can shoot, not both. I'm sorry if I sound crazy, but I was watching your videos and cringing at these simple rules that were overlooked. Carry on my good man, and keep up the good work, cheers! : )

Might want to double check, but think thunders and quarrellers are move OR shoot. Are dwarf crew stubborn, or was that later edition? Loving the 4th edd HE models.

Love the bat rep! 6th edition high elves were a bit awful but man it's still my favourite high elf book! Think the high elf player forgot the chariot crew have bows too, not that they ever achieve much with them! Also the eagle would have outnumbered the crew I think against the stone thrower (unit strength 3 vs 2). Reavers unfortunately can't skirmish either, don't think the thunderers could have used their stand and shoot as the reavers were in their flank. Don't runesmiths only have 2 attacks? Would love to have seen the high elves chance 2 big single shots with the bolt throwers at the flank of those iron breakers the turn before they charged, could have changed the game! Gorgeous armies though! Please keep the bat reps coming! Love your positive style, epic game!

Question to those who know: if the limit for rare units is 2 for 2000 points, the HE could have both 2 rbt and 2 eagles, but the eagles should have moved as a unit, right?

What I like about these dwarf lists is that they aren't gun line which GW battle reports always used to be. Just out of interest which dwarf book are you using as a new one came out in 6th edd.

Question: when the shadow warriors shot at the cannon, wouldn’t it be partially covered by the warrior unit?

Eagle vs grudge thrower turn 2 ; shouldn't the dwarves have won the combat with +1 from being on a hill, an maybe +1 outnumber? Also, why did the fast cav get a flank charge vs thunderers. They appear to be in the front arc before moves are made.

Pls always bring that Ring that suto dispels and destroys the spell on 4+

Great game, but it shows why the movement rules needed an upgrade. I love most improvements Oathmark did to WHFB.

This is my 5th br i watch and it seems that the war maschines always die in combat wuthout doing much damage und rhexdwarf Phase. Maybe u should put the stone thrower in the back and put ur units infront. It doeSnt need kine ofcsight if i remember correctly. That way it is protected from charges

The elf bolt thrower may have hit on 5s, because the 6 shot profile has the multiple shots keyword, which gives an extra -1. If at long range, he would have been hitting on 5s.

I completely watch all the interesting Video´s, Clip by Clip and do a Like (they are all super to watch and may offer the Chance of Playing self in the Future - I give this Channel to my Friend, hoping that he is interested like I was) . The Comment for the Algorithmus

Never seen a dwarf Player having his units so far in the Front. We are dwarfs we stay as far back as we can so the Opponent takes longer to reach us and therefore take mire shots from us

I've played a lot of WH Fantasy 8th as Dwarf and haven't been able to win (bad luck and mostly bad decisions, I think). But my fights against HE have been really close though, unless one time a Pit of Shades or Purple Sun sent my lads to eat piñas coladas in the Caribbean
