In this 2000pts batrep, a terrified peasant begs an audience with Sir Dragislav Von Curze at his castle. He says he comes from a village within Dragislav's domain and that they came under attack by a great beast leading an undead host. That this beast slew Sir Dragislav's thrall in single combat. His hunger for worthy combat piqued, Sir Dragislav marches his host to reclaim his fief and claim his vengeance.

@@rogueelementgaming,, ah man, you know what would be a good idea,, get both Duane's over to have a 2 on 1 revenge match!! 4000 points versus 2000 points,, just a total stomping. That would be so funny,, but you'd have to make it narratively cool. Maybe the poor old dwarves get mascaraed by the Skaven on one side and then get flanked by the Vampire Counts on the other side??

For the lapping around, even a unit with only one rank can do it. That rank is simultaneously first and last rank. If you think about it, casulties are also removed from the last rank. If first rank didn't count as last, those one rank units could never die since you couldn't remove casulties on them.

One Hero is the Standarte Bearer of the Skeletonhorde, the Charge through the Crypt was amazing, the Bat-Swarm are a moving defense Wall, thanks a lot for perfect Entertaining

1:50:24 The black knights get 4 attacks back against the dire wolves and 1 against the grave guard. You *fixed* the dire wolves it but still forgot the 1 into the grave guard.

The intro was such fun, great game, thoroughly entertained. I'd have forgotten the magic item too, make a memory card and have it near your dice as a reminder, I need them as I'm very forgetful bordering on airhead somedays. I cry everytime I see zombies/skeletons unit with a frontline of 5-6 😭. You only get hit more (= less combat resolution) and also less ranks. You still count the ranks with 4 miniatures per rank.

These are great reports, really enjoy them as a nostalgia trip for me. All the calculations are so very familiar... you should play a mini-campaign series of 3-4 battles with the same armies/characters etc, like your Dwarves defending their hold from an Orc/Gobbo tribe's attacks... see units develop and lose men, characters get wounds and tell a slightly longer story... that would be great Warhammering! :-) Still, these are a good watch.

Nice game! I just wonder...why charging the tomb guard with ghouls on turn 5? That could only help blood dragons to approximate the dark knights! And why on turn 5 it is decided to kill the bat swarm base in contact with Gregory? It's absolutely not wise... Anyway, fantastic rep!!!!!!

interesting game, but i think the ghouls forgot to fight after the challenge with the whites, and did the dark knight later attacked back to the flank in the whites (a you found out later^^)? the should have tried to kill the necromancer. And Dwayne did some terrible fails, the ghouls where not also useless the also helped the enemy getting in combat. AND he should have killed the Gregory in about round 3 or so with the bats!

@@rogueelementgaming you could do a 2 vs 2. Your dwarfs and an other dwarf or empirr/ bretonia vs whatvever I alteady would hav a nareativ with small special rules. A small Human lord owns a viallaxe where the dwarfs get wheat for rheir beer from. The Visage is under attack now. Dwarfs cane to help out. Every turn after the 2nd the dwarfs roll a dice. On a 6 they leave eith the wheat. Because they dont remember vaving a debt to the lord

Great stuff, just started a VC army with Red Dragon and Strigoi options myself. Wouldn’t have mattered at 43:26 but the strigoi bloodline ward save is 5+ not 6+ per the army book

Why do u maje a new unit of Zombies near a fleeing unit of ghouls they need atleast 1 turn to Rally and then u still can do that before they Charge u

The rear wolves charging could have gone worst....you are just giving the knigths softer targets for the rear knigths....youdont need that, you already have charged the knigths on the BEST place, their flank were only 2 models can attack your grave guard....with vampire counts, getting in combate with your soft units, sometimes It goes worst

Yep, all I was thinking about was the plus 2 combat res for the rear charge. But easily could have given away more then that in wounds.

In turn 4 dragislav caused 3 wounds. But 1 of it was a 6 so kt is a killing blow. Shouldnt 1 base die because of that and an other one take the other 2 wounds

In later editions or earlier editions (I can’t remember) they were. Not in 6th though. Ghoul poison must a different undead killing kind😂
